There was an intense burning sensation inside of Jade's chest as she sat alone in her hospital bed. It had been a few hours since Kylo had left her to attend to his daily duties. She was not familiar with this feeling, it was something she had never experienced before. She couldn't describe it either other than... yearning. An aching feeling that left her empty as the minutes ticked on.

From the moment she met Kylo, she felt it. A simple draw to him through the force was all she thought of it, at the time. Now, it was more than that. She saw the compassion he had for her. She saw the effort he made to just to make her comfortable. It was all for her. The connection they shared was unlike anything she had ever known. Someone was finally taking care of her, for a change.

A light knock at the door was heard across the room, peeling Jade's mind away from her thoughts. "Come in!"

Cora pushed through the door, a small and concerned smile upon her lips. "Jade. What have you gotten yourself into here?" She glided over to the side of her bed, hands clasped in front of her.

A small laugh escaped from Jade as she shook her head. "Not my doing. I can thank the Commander for this one." The concern was felt stronger by Cora as she heard her words. "He hurt you?"

Jade threw her hands up in defense, shaking her head. "Not on purpose! It was from training. It was an accident." Cora sighed in relief. "He brought me here, carried me actually." This news struck Cora with shock. "Commander Ren... carried you? Well, color me surprised! I didn't know that brooding man had even an ounce of care in him."

"You have a lot to learn about him, then," Jade mumbled as she looked down at her hands. She then realized that even she didn't know much about him. She knew how she felt about him, but his past was still a mystery to her. Even what he did during the day when they weren't together was a mystery. This made her sit for a few seconds in silence as she thought about it.

Another knock at the door was heard by both women before the doctor came in, holding a clipboard and a pen. "Well, some good news. You are to be released tonight. I was told by Commander Ren that Ms. Harren is to bring you back to your room where she will take care of you there. Please let us know if there are any declines in your health." They both nodded at the doctor's words as he pressed the clipboard towards her, asking her to sign off on the agreement.

How humiliating, I can't even walk on my own. Cora's arm wrapped around Jade's shoulder as she pulled her out of the wheelchair she was pushed in to get to her room. "Small steps..." Cora guided her over to her bed, placing her down as gently as she could. She fixed Jade's body so her legs were sitting out straight in front of her, head resting on the soft pillow.

"I'm going to get you some water and some food. When I come back, we'll ice your side and get you in a bath later." Cora spoke as she pushed the wheelchair over to the corner of the room for later use, if needed. She then disappeared out the door, leaving Jade to be alone again with her thoughts.

Her gaze met the vast, snowy field in front of her. It was just about to be dusk, the sun setting in the distance. A small breath released from her lungs as she tilted her head to the side, feeling sleep hitting her quickly.

"That lightsaber... It belongs to me."

"Come get it"

Flashes of blue and red. Snow wildly falling around the two figures. A fight. Kylo. He's hurt... He's bleeding...

Kylo locked lightsabers with the other person. His eyes. They're on me. He sees me. How?

"Jade?" Kylo mouthed but it wasn't his voice. Who-
