After persuading the boy to stay for dinner, Muichirou finally agreed.

''I only agreed so you would shut up.'' the boy grumbled, crossing his and looking at another direction. ''Aw, how sweet.'' the girl grinned as she gathered all the scattered paper around them. ''It's already 5.46 pm, I better start cooking dinner before Sabito tries it himself.'' the girl sighed, standing up before leaving the room.

Before exiting the room, Y/n turned and looked at the boy. ''What?'' Muichirou stuttered as he glances up at the girl. ''I'm not going to leaving you here, alone in my room.'' Y/n frowned. ''Oh.'' the boy whispered before pushing himself off the ground and exiting the room along with Y/n.

As soon as Muichirou step foot out of the safety of Y/n room, he instantly remembers why he didn't want to stay for dinner.  A pair of fox-like eyes pinned onto Muichirou's back, sending cold shivers down his spine. As steadily as he could, he followed Y/n closely down the stairs, fearing that someone would pounce on him anytime.

While Y/n was preparing dinner, Muichirou watched from the side, making sure that he was close enough so that her brother wouldn't kill him in secret. As Y/n fried the vegetables, the sound of the door clicking rang from the living room.

''Oh? My father must be home.'' Y/n smiled, not removing her attention away from the food. ''Father? Now?'' Muichirou thought. Her brother's already waiting to kill him and right now her father is coming?? ''Am I going to die?'' Muichirou thought as beads of sweat started to form on his forehead. The boy inched closer to the girl, trying to persevere his life.

''Hey kids, I'm home.'' a cheer rang from the front door as the man took off his school. ''Ah, Y/n you're cooking already?'' her father smiled, walking into the kitchen. ''Yep.'' the girl replied.  ''Oh, I told you I'll make dinner tonight.'' the man sighed as he quickly places on an apron before helping the girl.

''Nah, it's fine.'' the girl smiled, turning off the stove. Muichirou watched from the side, watching as father and daughter start preparing dinner together. ''Oh? Who's this?'' Y/n father asked, finally noticing the boy standing in the corner. ''Oh, Good evening sir, I'm Muichirou Tokito.'' the boy said before bowing.

''Oh? Y/n already has a boyfriend? That's awfully quick...'' the man sighed, turning his attention back to his cooking. That statement made both the boy and the girl jump. ''Father! He's just a friend...He was over for a project and I invited him to stay for d-dinner.'' the girl stated, trying to clear her father's confusion.

''Oh is that so?'' the man said innocently as he glanced at the pair. A warm blush swept across Muichirou's cheeks as he thought about that statement. ''Y/n's boyfriend...''

''Ah, kelphead, are you alright?'' Y/n asked, glancing at the blush on the boy's cheeks.  ''Huh?! I'm fine I'm fine.'' The boy assured, waving his hands in front of the girl.

After preparing dinner, the four sat together at the dinner table. The tension in the air was so thick that one could cut through it using a butter-knife. Sabito stared daggers at Muichirou as he shoves a spoonful of rice into his mouth.

''Tokito-san, you're really quiet. Here have some more.'' Y/n smiled as she used her chopsticks and placed some salmon onto Muichirou's bowl. ''Oh, thank you.'' the boy thanked as he tried his best to eat and ignoring the weird aura Sabito was giving off.

After dinner, Muichirou help Y/n to wash the dishes before heading out.

''Ah, let me walk to out.'' Y/n suggested, slipping on a pair of slippers before shutting the door. As the pair walked, the moon shone brightly against the pathway beneath them. ''Thanks for the meal Y/n-san,'' Muichirou mumbled, looking straight ahead and shoving his hands into his windbreaker.

''Don't sweat it.'' Y/n smiled, walking peacefully beside the boy. Suddenly a soft meow rang from an alleyway. Soon, a familiar grey cat appeared walking towards the pair. ''Ah, Haiiro!'' Y/n exclaimed before bending down to greet the cat.

''You gave it a name?'' Muichirou asked, bending over to look at the girl and the cat. Y/n nodded as she stroke the cat's soft fur. ''I've actually been seeing him for the past week whenever I head home.'' the girl sighed, patting its head. The boy said nothing as he kept his attention on the girl and the animal.

''Heyy.'' Y/n chuckled, carrying the cat up to her face shove it towards the boy.  ''I'm cute, aren't? Kelphead-san?'' the girl mocked. The cat only meowed and wiggled its tail. The boy cringed, moving away from the cat. ''Get that thing away from me,'' he muttered.

''Aww come on. How could you say something like that?'' the girl continued, carrying the cat closer to the boy. ''Come on Kelphead, pat me. Please?'' the girl whined as the cat let out a meow. The boy only backed away more, putting an arm out and pushing the cat away.

''Please Kelphead-san.'' the girl kept insisting moving closer to the boy. Sighing, the boy finally gave in and gave the cat a gentle pat. The cat only returned a satisfied meow and leant into the boy's touch. ''See it likes you.'' Y/n chuckled. Smiling, Muichirou stroked the cat's gentle fur.

With that, Y/n set the cat back down onto the ground. ''Well, I'll see you in school on Monday Kelphead.'' Y/n smiled. The cat playfully walked between the pair's legs, brushing its fur against their legs.

''Say, Y/n?'' The boy spoke, catching the attention of the girl's. Y/n hummed in response, watching as the boy bend over to play with the cat. ''About the necklace, the one we used for our project...'' the boy started, keeping his mint eyes of the grey cat.

''What about it?'' Y/n asked, raising a brow at him. Standing up to face the girl, the boy continued, ''you felt a connection towards it didn't you, when you first laid eyes on it?''

The girl blinked, remembering the strange yet familiar feeling the necklace sent through her back at the museum. With that, the girl answered, ''Yes, how did you know?''

The boy shrugged, ''I could tell when you were 'observing' it. You just seemed strangely attached to it. Your eyes also seem to sparkle.'' he stated bluntly.  ''Oh? Wow, I didn't know that.'' the girl stuttered, rubbing her arm. After a few awkward seconds, Y/n piped up once again, ''Well, I'll see you in school on Monday.''

''Yea, I'll see you,'' Muichirou said before saying good-bye to the girl. Y/n watched as the boy walked off into the distance, leaving Y/n and Haiiro alone. Sighing, she gave the cat one last pat before walking off in the opposite direction.

The grey cat stood between them, looking back and fore from the two, trying to decide who to follow. In the end, it simply returned to the dark alleyway it was familiar with.

''I'm home...'' a small yawn escaped from Muichirou soft lips as he slammed the front door close. Kicking off his shoes, the boy dragged himself into living before plopping down onto the couch next to his brother.

''Where were you? You missed dinner?'' Yuichirou asked, not removing his attention from the television. ''Mhm,'' Muichirou grumbled, leaning his head down onto his older brother's shoulder. ''Eh! Got off me.'' Yuichirou complained, trying to shove the younger twin off.

''Yui...'' the younger twin mumbled as he stayed still on his brother's shoulder. ''What is it.'' Yuichirou grunted, obviously annoyed by his brother's action.

''Do you believe in soulmates?''
