Soon later, the pair- (ahem sorry), couple reached the gates of the school and headed straight to class. ''Oh? Morning Y/n-chan! Mui-san!'' Rio cheered as she waved to the pair, greeting them as they entered the classroom. ''Mornin'' Yuichirou nodded at the pair as he leant on Muichirou's table.
''Hey get off my seat and go back to your class.'' Muichirou frowned, trying to shove his brother off the chair. The girls chuckled at the brothers' behaviour as Y/n took her seat. ''Wow, the holidays went by so quickly, and now we're in the second year.'' Rio sighed, turning to face Y/n. ''Yea, it felt like it was only yesterday since I transferred over here.'' the lavender eyed girl replied, trying to ignore the small fight occurring behind her.
Right on cue, the school bell hummed, signalling the start of classes, and stopping the brothers' small fight over a chair. Thankfully.

Not long after, lunchbreak neared and students started to pile out of the classes and headed for lunch. Y/n had forgotten to pack her lunch today thus, she had to make a trip down to the vending machine to get some snacks. On her way back to her class, Y/n bummed into a familiar figure. ''Oof, sorry.'' the girl apologised, looking up to see Yuichirou. ''No problems.'' the boy simply shrugged before walking off at the opposite direction.
''Wait, Yuichirou!'' the girl called, spinning around to face the boy. ''Hm?'' Yuichirou hummed, turning to face Y/n. ''May...May I ask you something.'' the girl asked, a worried look displayed on her face as she clenched onto the snack packet. ''Sure...'' the boy replied, wondering why she would wish to talk to him all of a sudden.
Nodding, Y/n pulling the boy off to a corner near the stairs, gaining some privacy for the two. ''Alright...this may sound like it's from out of nowhere but...may I ask what's Muichirou's relationship with Kuroi...'' the girl mumbles, looking around in case anyone heard her. ''What? Why are you asking?'' the boy questioned, raising a suspicious brow at the girl. ''Listen, I can't help but notice that the Kelphead seems to break down whenever he's around Kuroi or something...and...since I'm...'' the girl continued, stuttering at the last part.
''You what?'' Yuichirou pushed, slightly frowning at the mention of Kuroi's name. ''Well...I feel that since I'm n-now...hhis...erm..g-girlfriend, I guess I should k-know?'' Y/n muttered, averting her eyes to avoid his piercing mint ones. ''Girlfriend? Oh, that wimp finally asked you out?'' Yuichirou chuckled, shoving his arms into his pockets. ''So what do you want to know exactly?'' the boy casually asked, lending against the wall behind him.
''Well, maybe the history of them??'' the girl continued, trying her best to hide her flustered form. ''Well, they didn't have the best history...'' the boy sighed as seriousness grew onto his expression.
''Well, I guess it started when Kuroi asked my brother out all of a sudden at junior-high and he just sort of agreed, even though I told him it was a bad idea. Nonetheless...they started dating and everything was fine until I noticed that Kuroi...well she started to get abusive with Mui...she would hit him if he didn't give her attention or pinch him just to get what she wanted...I tried telling Muichirou to break up with her but...he didn't think it would be as simple. So I decided to help him and told Kuroi off...'' Yuichirou explained, his tone low and deep as he dug out a hurtful memory.
''I'm...I'm so sorry...I didn't know...'' Y/n apologised, her heart sunk inwards just from hearing that.
''That wasn't exactly why my brother's so scared of her...... after I told Kuroi off...she went psycho mode and threatened both me and Mui. So one day in school, when Mui tried to settle things with her...she...she gripped his arms and dug her nails deep into his skin...forcing blood to spill out. I couldn't imagine what would happen after if I wasn't there to stop her...'' the boy continued, sadness hidden behind his mint eyes.
''So that's why Muichirou keeps hiding his arms...'' Y/n thought out loud, her lavender eyes turned dull as she tried to wrap her head around the situation. ''Yea...he's been wearing anything to cover his arms ever since...even when he's at home,'' Yuichirou stated.
''......I may not know much about this situation but...I would try and do as much as I can to help Muichirou. I promise.'' Y/n stated confidence danced behind her lavender eyes as she stared straight into his mint eyes. ''Eh?? What's this sudden burst of motivation??'' Yuichirou questioned, trying to back away from Y/n.
''Oops, sorry...I just really wanted to help Muichirou I guess...'' the girl chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck.
''....Y/n?'' The boy said, catching the girl's attention.
''Hm?'' the girl hummed in response.
''Please take care of him.''
