I wake up with the room still dark, and only a lampshade on. Huh. I guess I woke up too early. I did a quick stretch only to find that I'm wearing one of Andrew's shirts and that my boyfriend's not beside me.
I stood up and went to open the curtains when bright sunlight blinded me.
"Fuck. What time is it?" I ask no one in particular when Andrew's bathroom door opens to reveal my boyfriend in only a towel wrapped on his waist. Well damn. What a way to start the day.
"It's almost twelve in the afternoon. Good morning." He says as he gives me a quick kiss on the cheeks.
"You hungry?" He asks and as if on cue, my stomach rumbles and I give him a smile.
"Be down in fifteen. I'll prep the breakfast." He says, putting on some shorts and a shirt.
He leaves the room and I go straight to his bathroom to clean myself up.
Well shit. My hair's all over the place god damn.
Once I finished taking a bath, I grabbed some of Andrew's old shorts and his hoodie. Grabbing my phone, I went down and immediately, my nose caught on the smell of food. I went to the dining area to see Chad and some of the boys in the soccer team are here as well.
"Alex!" They all greeted me and smushed me in a big group hug. Yep, you must've figured it out by now. I'm one of the boys, meaning I have more guy friends and the only girl close to me is Lucy.
"Yo let her breathe." I heard Andrew's voice scold them and they finally released me from their death hugs.
"When did you guys get here?" I ask them, taking a seat beside Chad.
"We slept over." Chad replies.
"Oh..." Well shit. I wonder if they heard us last night...
"Oh as in you two having a second round? Yep we know." Benjie says and I felt my cheeks turn red as my eyes went wide.
I hid my face on the hood, embarrassed that the guys heard all those... ah fuck.
"Stop hiding your face Lex. As if we don't know how dirty you guys get." Chad says and the guys, and Andrew laughs which only makes me blush harder.
"Okay okay you made your point. Where's the food?" I asked and Andrew placed a big plate with waffles and bacon in front of me. "Finally." I didn't waste time and went straight to devouring the food given to me.
"Slow down there tiger." Andrew says and they laugh as I ignore them. I was too busy enjoying and savouring these delicious waffles.
I was halfway done when I forgot something was missing.
I stood up and got a mug for coffee. Yes, this day ain't starting if Alex doesn't have her macchiato yet.
I drizzled some vanilla syrup in and filled half the mug with milk and ice. After the espresso machine was done with my espresso, I poured it in the mug.
The coffee's aroma hit my nose and I took a sip. I moan at the taste and it's truly heaven on earth when I have my macchiato.
I went back to my seat when the guys were just staring at me.
"What?" I ask their stupid looking faces.
"Is that how she... how she is when you two are... you know... alone?" Chad wiggles his eyebrows as he asks Andrew and my boyfriend simply smacks his head.
"Babe we have training today. What about you?" Andrew asks as I finish my plate of waffles and bacon.
"Ours just got cancelled, cause the tournament was pushed to next month." I tell him.
"You have training?" Noah asks dumbfounded.
"Yah stupid. She's part of the MMA club in Uni remember? So try not to mess with her." Chad answers for me.
"Oh right. I totally forgot my bad."
"Yo let's go. We don't wanna be late or else you know what the coach would do." The playful and teddy bear Chad I know gets replaced with the captain vibes, a more serious Chad. Personally, I prefer the former.
The boys stood up and went out of the house as Andrew kissed me goodbye.
"Will you be staying here?" He asks.
"Nope. I'm meeting up with Lu."
"Alright take care you two."
"You guys as well. Goodluck." Andrew runs to his teammates as Chad's truck drives away to training.
I quickly washed the dish I ate in and gathered my things before going home to my apartment.
I was driving around the city when my phone started ringing. I didn't bother to look who was calling and answered it from the phone holder.
I heard different voices as soon as I answered it.
"Alex!"
"Oh my god you're alive!"
"Yo when are you coming back here?"
My childhood friends back in Canada greets me and I smile wide, missing the sound of their voices.
"Hey guys! What's up?" I ask them.
"We were planning a road trip together and we hope you could go home for a short while? School year's ending anyways." Emma asks.
"Hmm." I wanted to go but I still got until September before the second sem ends.
"I don't know yet." I tell them and the girls all moaned out an "aww".
"Wait wait. When is this anyways?"
"Well, we don't have an exact date yet but hopefully two weeks from now." Madds reply.
"Alright well I'll fix my sched and I'll update you guys. Anyways I gotta go. Talk again soon bye!" I ended the call as I reached my apartment's parking lot and went up to my room.
I call Lucy, going to ask her if she's still on for the day.
After a couple rings, she soon picks up.
"Hey Lu. Are we still going to the mall?" I ask.
"Yeah. But I might be half an hour late. I'll see you there?"
"Sure."
"Babe... come here..." I hear a male voice on the other end of the line. What is this girl up to now?
"Lu, who was that?"
"Uhh I'll explain later. Got to go! Bye!" I ended the call and chuckled at Lucy.
I set my alarm to go off in an hour so I don't forget to meet with Lu at the mall. To pass the time, I went back to reading my book.
I got lost in my book that I almost forgot about my plans with Lu. Luckily I set an alarm. See? That's how introverted I am. I prefer being by myself, surrounded by books or art materials instead of partying and going out every friday night.
The party last night? Well that's me supporting my boyfriend and the team. Plus, I know the guys on the team well enough that I chose to spend my energy with them that night. If others would invite me to a party where I barely know people, I'd immediately decline and enjoy a cup of coffee instead.
Well, enough of this as I have to get ready.
I took a quick shower before putting on track pants, a shirt and a hoodie on top. I also put on my Nike shoes and got my essentials such as my phone, wallet, and keys.
I got in my car and texted Lu that I was on my way and I'll meet her at the coffee shop.
