"This is your place?" I asked, amaze at the black and wooden minimalistic theme of what he claims to be his home.
After I told him everything about me, my past and all that, he decided to take me to his home since it was getting late at night and he still wanted to spend time together.
So now I'm here, at the comfort of his home, and the most amazing architectural structure I've seen.
It's like my dream house made alive.
It's located in a small town, surrounded by nothing but trees. A house full of glass to let natural light in, and the black theme that I love. It's all in this house.
"This is.. it's the house of my dreams what the heck? I'm in love with this place." I say, still cannot believe that he lives in this place by himself.
"You like it?" He asked.
"No words can describe how much I love this place. God, I'm tempted to live here and kick you out!" I said and he chuckles at my exaggeration.
"Come on, let's watch a movie." He pulls me to a part of the living room as he motions for me to sit on the couch as he pulls down a white screen and sets up the place.
"So what do you want to watch?" He asked.
"Well, what movies do you have?" I asked and he handed me his phone with a list of about a thousand movies.
I scrolled through the list until I found something that caught my eye.
"You watch Lord of the Rings? No way!" I exclaimed.
"It's the best fantasy movie there is. And don't get me started on the book."
This guy just keeps on surprising me. From liking the same band to the same movies.
"Coffee?" He asked and I smiled.
"Do you even have to ask?" He chuckles at that and I go with him to make coffee.
"Wait wait, you made me taste your own coffee, now you taste my coffee." I said as I made my famous macchiato.
Drizzling the vanilla in, I poured in the milk and espresso on top with a drizzle of chocolate syrup since he doesn't have caramel.
"Taste it." I handed him the cup and he took a sip.
"Oh shit. This is better than what I make. You gotta teach me how to do that." He said and I shook my head since the recipe was a secret.
"Please?" He pleaded and I refused to tell him.
He puts down the cup and traps me under his hold as he carries me back to the living room.
"Ares!" I exclaimed and he dropped me on the couch.
"Come here!" He brings me closer to him and kisses me all over.
"Ares stop! The movie!" I say, laughing and trying to push him off.
"Hey. Thank you." I heard Ares say and I looked at him with confusion. "What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, for opening up to me. I know what I did before hurt you. What I did was wrong, and yet you got the guts to still talk to me, and even more, to tell me about yourself. Also, thank you for giving me a chance Alex." My heart warms at what he said as I felt my cheeks start to warm.
"You know, maybe this isn't so bad after all." I told him as I rested my head on his chest, with his arms around me.
"Which one?" He asked.
"Us." I say and he smiles, kissing me on my forehead as we watched the movie.
I woke up with a weighted blanket over me as the lights were dim.
I looked around to see that I was still at Ares' place, and I instinctively smiled at the memory of yesterday.
Butterflies seem to invade my stomach as I remembered how Ares held me last night. Something I didn't know I needed, and now, I'm craving for his touch.
"Good morning!" Ares greeted, holding a cup of coffee and putting it on the coffee table in front.
"Morning." I said back as he kissed my forehead.
"So, I wanted to take you somewhere today. That is if you don't have any plans for the day?" He asked, and how could I resist that smile of his?
"What do you have in mind?" I asked.
"Well, don't be surprised or anything, but my parents have been dying to get to know you." That was a surprise.
"Uh..." I didn't know what to say. Meeting his parents already? That's big.
"It's alright if you're not ready. We can do it some time else..." He says but I see how badly he wants me to meet his parents, so I agreed.
"Then let's go meet them!" I said and he breaks out in a big smile, giving me a tight hug before saying he'll go get ready and take me back to the cottage for me to change.
I sigh, still cannot believe I'm with Ares. I never thought I'll be able to do it, so big thanks to the guys for helping me out of my comfort zone.
I feel different about this, that my guts are telling me I did something right, and I hope I'm correct because I don't want this to end.
Wow, I went back to Canada to spend time with my friends, and I never expected to meet a guy like Ares.
The girls are right. That each day with Ares is an adventure, something that I can hold onto and call mine. They were right about the fact on how my heart beats for him, and the things I feel when going cliff jumping is similar to what I feel when I'm with Ares.
"Hey, you ready?" Ares breaks me off from my thoughts as he comes in, shirtless, and drying his wet black hair with a towel.
Why does he have to walk in like this, God he's making me melt.
"Alex, you good? Or are you thinking 'bout getting this huh?" He says, gesturing to his oh so tasty shirtless body and my cheeks start to warm from teasing me.
"Shut up, let's go." I said, throwing a pillow straight at him as he chuckles and finally puts a shirt on.
"Want to drive?" He asked, throwing me his keys and I smiled, going to the driver's side.
"Still can't believe you're trusting me to drive your Chevy." I said, turning on the engine.
"Why not?" He asked.
"Just because I kinda almost sent my friends to the hospital on our way here."
"What? What do you mean?"
"I was driving the van. It was night time and they were asleep besides Liam. Anyways, I was talking to him and I literally took my eyes off the road for just a second when another car was coming straight at us so I had to swerve and stop. Luckily no one was hurt." I told him about what happened a few weeks ago about our almost death and he laughed.
"So you're telling me that I should be the one driving now?" I rolled my eyes and smacked him in the shoulders.
"I'm not missing this chance to drive a Chevy Ares. So sit back and relax. Don't worry, I won't crash your car."
