Napangiti ako habang binabasa ang sulat ni Van. He hugged me this time.
"Is that a yes?" He asked.
Napataas naman ang kilay ko habang lumayo na ako sa yakap. Para naman siya ngayong nahihiya.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I am courting you, Angel Horfelia." Sabi niya at hindi ko mapigilan na manggigil kasi first time kong ligawan ng isang lalaki. Weird lang kasi kami na. What's the point?
"I thought tayo na." Sabi ko naman.
Napatawa naman siya.
"I'll ask permission to your mother when she is off duty soon. Para 'di ka na ma-hot seat tulad kanina." Sabi niya at saka pinisil ang ilong ko.
"Huh, you knew." Sabi ko.
Napatingin siya sa door. Pumunta siya roon at saka nilock yung pinto.
This is what got me everytime na kasama ko si Van. Every move he makes next always make my heart skip a beat. Hindi mo kasi ma-predict kung anong susunod niyang gawin. And what's more nakakaloka is susunod at susunod kalang sa gagawin niya.
"Why?" I asked.
"I wanna be alone with you." He said.
Van is always direct and frank whenever he speak and it gives me chills. Kasi his oh-so-Van-Mentius words are always unbelievable.
"What do you think of the letter?" He asked and napahiga sa kama ko.
Is he always like this?
Super feel at home na siya. Anyways, kasi boyfriend ko na siya and girlfriend na niya and it scares me na. Kasi magagawa na niya yung mga gusto niyang gawin. I sighed expecting na baka may gagawin na naman si Van this time.
"Van, Thank you sa letter. I appreciated it." Sabi ko.
Tinignan ko siya at automatic na nagtama ang mga mata namin.
He is staring at me too deep.
God, ano na naman bang surprise this time?
"Say it again." He said while lying by the bed and looked at me intently.
And I am sitting beside him, looking at him back. Confuse again. How many times do I have to get confuse with this lad?
"I appreciated it?" I said.
Umiling siya.
"Thank you?" I said.
Umiling pa din siya.
Ngiti siya ng ngiti kaya pakiramdam ko may sasabihin na naman siyang bongga para maloloka ako. Is he always like this?

"Say it." Sabi niya nang seryoso at saka umupo na din katabi ko.

Napasimangot naman ako.
"Ako? Wild?" I asked and even pointed at myself.
"Yep. Introvert gone wild." He said and I flinched when he suddenly poked my waist.
Nakakakilit kaya dun na part. And this is insane kasi hindi ako pwedeng sumigaw. But he is tickling me so bad. He is mad!
"Van, stop it!" I whispered.
And this guy? Nagustuhan niya pa.
Is he making me say his name again?
"I cant believe you." Sabi ko.
And then he end up lying on top of me.
"I always love it when you say Van. I feel like I am a complete different person." Sabi niya and kisses my lips.
Hard.
