Chapter 17 - The build-up is always the most annoying part

AN: I nearly didn't get this one out due to some RL event's, but other than a couple of places it came out easily enough. Without further ado enjoy.

It's been three weeks since the incident with Squalo and Reborn has taken my advice and called in some favours, to get the trainers for the other guardians besides me and Chrome to arrive within the first few days. To Tsuna's and the gangs surprise we weren't getting any trainers, when he asked all I said was that we have our own regimens and left it at that. Besides I actually don't have to take part in the matches that will come, as I am the only one with a complete ring and the only outside Guardian though Hibari is a loner. Chrome doesn't need a tutor as she's been trained under Mukuro since we've taken her in, even Mammon's paid for training plan has been surpassed a couple of years ago without us telling him. Seeing as Mammon will be on the opposite side in this conflict I chose to withhold that from him, it's not hiding things out of disloyalty it's giving a little bit of an edge to Chrome.

There's also another aspect to hiding the info from Mammon that you'll all agree with, why should I give the little money grubber free information? I discussed this with Reborn and to my surprise he burst out laughing when I told him, something about "his own tactics was coming to bite him in the ass" when he calmed down. I'll tell you now the sight of a toddler (even if he isn't really) laughing like that was a little unnerving at first. Moving on I'm currently on my way home after shopping with Chikusa when I bump into Kyoko and Haru.

"What's the matter you two? Why do you look so worried?" (Aloy)

"Aloy chan it's great to see you we've lost sight of the kids." (Kyoko)

"Hahi! We don't know where they went! Tsuna san is going to be mad!" (Haru)

I hug the two girls quickly before stepping back.

"Now now it'll be ok we'll help ok? You two have my number so we'll split up. You two head toward the park you normally go to, we'll head to the banking by the forest and work back." (Aloy)

"Un!" (Kyoko/Haru)

The two brighten up before nodding and running toward the park, I just sigh this is going to get messy unless we find them quick. I turn to Chikusa who nods and we start running towards the banking, as we do I dig my cell out and ring Mukuro.

"Mukuro no time to explain I know the rough area but I need you to find the kids, they're here and are going after Lambo who should be by the forest banking." (Aloy)

"Kufufufu going after the cow first are they? What cowards, alright give me a minute I'll text you with the closest street when I find them." (Mukuro)

"Thanks Mukuro." (Aloy)

I hang up and call out to Chikusa who's running besides me.

"Chikusa do you still have the paralysis clips still loaded?" (Aloy)

"Yes Hime." (Chikusa)

"Perfect Chikusa I want to prevent bloodshed around them, so we're knocking these asshats out." (Aloy)

"Understood." (Chikusa)

As we run I know Chikusa is complaining mentally over my order for non lethal, I know that all three have connections with the underworld but they're kids. Out of the three I think only I-Pin has actually killed, but I don't think she's spilt literal blood plus she's short-sighted. I'm brought out of my musings five minutes later when we reach the banking, after skidding to a stop I pull out my Tranquiliser Rifle slinging it across my back. Chikusa preps his Yo-Yo's whilst I tap my foot waiting for Mukuro and listening intently for the kids, after another two minutes I hear my mobile go off with the text indicating street the kids are on. I sprint off in that direction with Chikusa catching up quickly, after 500 meters I see them and quickly shout aiming my rifle.
