AN: This one is a little short as I'm deciding if I want to include the training in this half of the arc or not, obviously Tsuna's awakening of the ring edition gloves has been missed. I'm considering a round up at the star of the next chapter, or I may use the time honoured Timeskip method to condense the time till the attack. We'll see with the next chapter so without further ado enjoy.
-----------
After waiting for a couple of hours Ryohei reached us and told us we'd have to walk to the base entrance, so after finding out which one he was going to use I not so politely said "fuck that". After arguing for nearly half hour till we reached the nearest shop which was predictably closed so I went around back, finding two old cars left in the car park for the small store. Finding them unlocked I assessed which of the two were most likely to start, which was surprisingly a Cressida with a flat battery. Predictably there were no key's so after jumpering it to my suit I hotwired it and it roared into life, so at least we have a mode of transportation to get to the base in a reasonable timeframe.
Ryohei was as predicted less than pleased with my efforts at obtaining transportation, so I just outright scowled and told him that abandoned motors are actually prolific throughout the country. The only legal issue we had was actually obtaining ownership over said vehicle, western countries actually being accommodating after checking the last registration over said vehicle. That aside we actually made quick work to the area where our designated entrance was (somewhere in the retail district), So I found a reasonably sized car park about fifteen minutes away from our entry point.
Once out I patted the car affectionately after leaving a note on the dash and we set off, we made use of the rear alleys and only crossing the main roads and side streets when unavoidable. It took us a further fifteen minutes to reach the entrance at which point I was positively livid, all this skulduggery before even getting close to the entrance was unneeded in my opinion. I mean seriously they are likely to have a general opinion on the locations of the entrances, so why even bother attempting confusing them till your close? I gave up thinking things through quite a while ago as it's not worth the brain power, so I just dug out the battery belt and hooked it up before hitting the base.
We surprisingly waltzed right into the base after finding the entrance and I sigh as we do... Sure there are those gate things but the lack of security is starting to piss me off.... Even Metal Gear Solid has better security than this!! Hell even Naruto does with their horribly unbalanced tech level!! That's it my brain has decided to take a peace out..... I don't regain the ability to think straight till Ryohei announces his presence in his usual manner... Loudly of course. I smack him over the head and he crouches in pain whilst Chrome sniggers and the others look on in shock.
"Hime that was masterfully timed *snigger*" (Chrome)
"Chrome!" (Everyone par Reborn)
"Ciaossu Chrome, she couldn't be?" (Reborn)
Reborn looks over at me as he asks that and as if realizing the serious atmosphere so do the others, So I just sigh and disengage my helmet before removing it and shaking out my hair before looking at them.
"Hey guys it's been a while." (Aloy)
"ALOY CHAN/HIME!" (The gang)
"It's a relief to see you Hime" (Reborn)
Whilst most of the people look shocked to see me (understandable really) Reborn smiles at me... And is that relief I can see in his eyes? I look over at Lal Mirch and I can see her tears threatening to fall, I throw caution to wind and toss Chrome my helmet and rush over to Lal and envelop her in a hug. As soon as my arms wrap around her Lal breaks out sobbing and I try my best to comfort her.
