CHAPTER TWENTY - NINE

AEDION'S POV

This week has been hectic and full of tradegies but I guess we have been lucky enough to overcome them. It's Friday now and it's two days after, Avyanna and her grandparents moved into the castle with me, also not forgetting my mother. My parents have reunited and I got to say her meeting my dad has helped her regain her glow and now no longer looks as old , I guess. As for Avyanna, she has not talked to anyone ever since she woke up not even to her grandparents or Hunter. It's more like she is oblivious to the people around her, like she does not want to be here. But I guess, she needs time, I mean how do you expect someone to act after they knew, they almost lost their life.

As for me, Xanth gave me a letter, that came from Davinela and everyday the guilt of allowing her in Kova is slowly but surely eating me up. I don't know how to tell people that I am the cause of that. As for Ahren, our brotherly bond has just gotten stronger but as for Aislien she is no where to be found and that makes me uneasy. But I don't dwell on that too much because she usually goes away for even months and comes back later on but in this dangerous, uncertain time, I would have preferred to have all my loved ones closer to me. I just hope she keeps safe wherever she is.

I am now on my way to my conference room because all the Kova leaders are now here to discuss these letters from Davinela and the latest issues occuring in Kova. I have been dreading this meeting because I don't know how things will turn out or how they will react to what I'm about to tell them.

I have finally reached the conference room and I am standing right in front of it. I take a deep breath and ready myself for the next longest hours of my life.

We have been going back and fourth for hours now and the worst part is that we have not come up with anything. Kova is made up of five kingdoms, which are Otis the Vampire kingdom, Featherhand the witch and warlocks kingdom, Asena the wolf kingdom, Inerys the elf kingdom and Skyshade Barrow the Dragon Kingdom. Therefore, all the leaders from these kingdoms are hear with me and have been acting like five year olds.

"Oh yeah? What are you going to do? Set the whole Kova realm on fire?" Sacarstically answers Dimitri, King of the Vampires.

Frostbite , Queen of the Dragons, ironic right? How her name is frostbite which is completely different from what she and her kingdom represent. Anyway, she had suggested that we send a search for Davinela throughout Kova, that each Kingdom will hold a search party from door to door. In my opinion that was a bad idea because it's obvious they won't be in the obvious place, which then led to Dimitri's sacarstic response.

"So what do you suggest Dimitri?" Frostbite harshly clapsback

"Why don't we just relax and think carefully?" Suggests Freyre. He is mainly the calm, cool and collected one of all of us. He is basically the soft one and the peacemaker but don't be mistaken because of his calm demeanor, it's not his only side. He is balanced out. All I can say is don't get on his bad side because the beast in him is sleeping not dead, especially when it comes to his mate.

Everyone quiets down and it's silent for a while, people thinking on how best to deal with this situation.

"I suggest we don't look for her or her minions, it's a waste of time. It will take a while." Willow finally breaks the silence.

"So what are you saying? That we should just sit around and wait for disaster to strick?" Dimitri frustratingly answers. He is the strong-willed and hard headed one. He does not like funny business and is very sinister. He enjoys punishing people brutally without remorse. But anyway, I guess that is the nature of every vampire.
