AVYANNA'S POV
It's been almost two hours ever since Aedion left and I have been uneasy. I know after what he has done to me, I shouldn't care, in fact I should just be escaping right now with my grandparents and leave to go somewhere safe but something deep in me is not letting me leave him. Actually, I want to leave this safe room and go after him to fight by his side.
I look around the room and see my grandparents comforting each other whereas the other woman in here is sitted minding her own business. I really wonder who she is. I slowly walk over to her.
I clear my throat.
"If you don't mind me asking, who are you?" I try by all means to not sound rude.
"Avy?" My grandma scolds me.
"No, it's okay. She has the right to know after all she is my son's mate."
I look at her with wide eyes as what she just said plays again in my head.
"Your son?" I ask again for confirmation
She smiles as she straightens up and look at me as she starts to explain herself.
"Come my dear, it's time for you to know the truth."

AEDION'S POV
"Aislian?" I repeat my sister's name again in disbelief
Ahren walks slowly towards the pair that he once knew as family. I feel his pain but for him it's worse because all he has now is his father, unlike me I have both parents.
"Please tell me this is an illusion?" Ahren pleads
Aislian looks at him as she smiles sinisterly.
"No brother, it is really me. I am here, right in front of you." She giggles at the end
Ahren runs his fingers through his hair frustrated. I could see my brother is on the the verge of crying. This is a hard blow for him.
"How could you? You and mom are selfish. You decide to betray the whole of Kova and leave me all alone your own brother, you own son?"
He states as he looks between the two women. My mom, no actually Asteria and Aislian's face soften at the break down of Ahren. But honestly, who would not feel a bit guilty, the only innocent person here is Ahren and he is the one suffering severely.
"Look Ahren, agendas are different and so are mindsets. I guess what I am trying to say is that you never fit in to our future plans because you are just too soft and loving. We could not have you ruining our plans. You love your father too much to betray him." States Asteria as she looks to my father's direction.
"Mother, are you being serious right now?" Asks Ahren
Asteria remains quiet, which I guess Ahren takes as a yes.
"Look boy." Davinela finally interrupts the family reunion." To prove that you are not what your mother says, I will give you a choice, right now at this very moment you either join us or fight us."
Everyone around us has a sharp intake of breath, no one saw this coming. Ahren, is a good and easy going guy, I have no doubt that he will choose the right side but if it was under any other circumstance. However, in this circumstance it involves choosing between his family or the rest of Kova. To Ahren, it's family first before anything and that thought alone scares the living daylights out of me because I cannot guarantee which slide he will choose.
Ahren puts his head between his hands trying by all means to make sense of all that is happening in front of him. He starts pacing whispering incoherent things to himself as Davinela rolls her eyes.
