AVYANNA'S POV
"Let's go. I now want to go back to my kingdom." Aedion firmly says as he walks out the door.
I sigh and start following after him but before, I got out; a soft hand pulls me back. I face the witch.
"My child, come with me. What reason do you have to go back?" She suggests suddenly
I look at her hand holding mine and then back at her. I contemplated on it a bit and can't help but think she is right but the best thing is to stay away from her and her plans. Besides, something in me is pulling me back to Kova, I might not have a mate but I have a purpose which are my grandparents , in fact I need to get back to them. I miss them so much.
I roughly took my hand from hers and start to walk away.
"We are both rejects. I am wanted in Kova because of my powers and you and your mate are history before it even started. Let's take over Kova together; I know what you are and your powers, combined with mine. We will be unstoppable. That guy does not love you even before all this." She tries to keep convincing me.
I stop walking and turn to face her. "I already know that he never loved me and guess what? The best part is that you unknowingly helped me cope with that. It no longer hurts that I am not wanted by my mate." I say and take a step closer as I say "So if you know, what's best for you, don't seek me again and never suggest that to me."
I turn and walk out. This has been the end of my mate ship with Aedion but from the unsettling feeling deep in my gut, this is the beginning of a rage filled war. KOVA better be ready.
The boat ride through the lake was silent and awkward. We would just keep quiet and occasionally give each other side glances and quickly look away when the other catches the other looking. I really now want to get home more than ever and out of his presence because now it seems worse than before. I mean yes we did not have the best relationship before but now , now it's just awkward and makes our time together seem longer than it really is.
We get off the boat and start heading to our spot where we were. The previous door appeared and then we stop through it, leaving it closing behind us.
Flora and Felix appear and lead us back to where we started. As we walked it was too silent, I could not take it anymore, so I broke it.
"Aedion?" I call him
He just says quiet and looks my direction.
"I have been thinking a lot about it and I have decided to end this hatred I have for you and give you back your kingdom."
His eyes widely open and he stops in his tracks
"What did you say?" He asks for confirmation
"You heard me."
"But why? I thought I was going to get into more problems with you because you will be angry at me about the mate bond." He tries to make sense of this.
I sigh and walk closer to him
"Aedion look, from the start I hated you for the fact that you took my parents away from me and that you humiliated me by rejection. But as time went by I grew to have a soft spot for you no matter how cold you were the whole time. But after what just happened a few hours ago, I realised I have to get back to reality and stop hoping for what could have been and accept that you never liked me. I secretly hoped on this journey that you will change your mind. I have to start over my life with different memories and different people. We both have to. Therefore, me giving you back your kingdom is a start to learning how to forget you and the pain you caused me."I explain to him
