CHAPTER TWENTY- SIX

AEDION'S POV

"Mom?" I questioningly whisper to myself.

"This is one of your witch tricks." Steps in Ahren. "Our mother is not a witch, she is a Werewolf. You really thought we would fall for your tricks?"

She laughs hysterically. Apparently she finds this quite entertaining.

"Oh my boys. You are silly. I am your mother, well at least to one of you." She says

Ahren and I look at each other, trying to find the meaning to the statement in each other. Unfortunately we were both blank and want the woman who claims to be our mother to explain further.

"Prove you are our mother." I finally chip in.

She sighs irritated and rolls her eyes.

"Aedion, you have a birthmark on your left hip, shaped like a half Moon and Ahren, you were the one who stole your father's iPad when you were five and broke it, you were so scared you told me and made me pinkie promise not to ever tell you father. Satisfied now?"

This is absurd. She must have known this from someone else. I guess we need answers.

"If you are our mother, how come you are a witch and not a werewolf?" Ahren repeats the exact same thoughts I had.

She smiles sickly sweet "Well I am a wolf too just like you but the difference is I'm a hybrid, just like your brother's mate." She says looking at me. "But however, I am not part vampire, I am one of the legal ones." She says laughing with her witch laugh.

"I am half witch- half wolf. My mother was a dark witch and obviously her mate was a werewolf."

"Why were you here, what were you doing at my border?" I ask

"Nothing, just going for a stroll."

She laughs again.

"You are wasting my time, now talk." I impatiently state.

She rolls her eyes "You are no fun. Anyway, I was there meeting friends. Oh by the way you guys better be prepared, danger is coming your way."

The last part got my attention. What did she mean by that?

"What are you saying?" I ask

Everyone is attentive now.

"Just be prepared!" She firmly responds

"What did you mean when you said you are our mother at least to one of us?" Ahren asks

She smiles slightly and talks

"One of you, is my son whilst the other is my step baby." She giggles

We both look at each other

"Who?" We ask in unison.

She slowly looks at me

"No." I whisper to myself. I start panting heavily as a lot of thoughts are going into my head. I really cannot accept this. She is playing with my mind.

"You are lying. This cannot be." I tell her

She sighs

"Have you ever wondered why you and Ahren are five centuries apart? Well it's because you were born way before your father and I were married, when he was with stupid bitch?"

"Explain yourself, I don't even get what you are saying." I now plead, I really want to know what is going on.

"First things first. Way before you were born, when I was still your father's girlfriend, it was just me, him, his royal advisor and his mate. We were so happy, I had a great relationship with him and it was the four of us against the world, we were an unbreakable group of friends. I was going to be Queen of Asena, well until the bitch came." She looks at me "Your real mother. The moment your father set his eyes on her, he forgot about me. He tossed me aside like I was nothing. It was like we were now strangers, like we never had anything before. I confronted him about it but only to be dumbed in the end. But I could not accept that, no one was going to take away my position as Queen but I was too late , she was already pregnant with you. So I changed my plans and decided to the most powerful dark witch in Kova to help me with the situation. Unfortunately, his best friend overheard us and told your father but I convinced him otherwise. However, to teach his friend a lesson I broke the mate bond of him and his mate but I don't know where they are now , hopefully dead." She shrugs
