I raised my head from the book and eyed the figure in front of me. I knew exactly who it was.

Chris.

He stood there arms folded and tapping his foot on the ground.

"Alright what's up?" He demanded. There was no getting out of this now.

I buried my head in my open book, "Please can you just leave me alone?"

"Amelia May Callum," He nagged as though he was a parent. "I am your brother and I demand that you tell me what is bothering you so much." He took a seat beside me and stuck his face in front of the book so I didn't have any choice but too look at him.

I groaned with annoyance, "Fine." I shut the book and explained to him the situation with Nate.

'I didn't think you were willing enough to go on that app." He said after he'd taken in what I'd told him.

I shrugged, "I told Brea I would."

"Honestly," He replied. "I think you should talk to him. Don't ignore or avoid him. Speak your mind and make him listen."

"It's not that easy. I can't just walk up to him like that and say how I feel. I'm not exactly known for my confidence."

"Then send him a message." He suggested. "But if he hurts you again he's so getting a butt whooping."

I laughed, imagining my brother beating up Nate with his lack of muscles. "You really know how to cheer me up, don't you."

"You're my sister, if I can't do that what am I good for?"

I went back to my room and decided I would send Nate a message. Whether or not he'd get it was a different story, I didn't know if Kate would be watching his phone.
I knew I had to.
I just had to.
I ignored that Kate could be right there reading over his shoulder but I typed anyway.

Briar_Rose36: I need to see you. I don't care if Kate knows or she doesn't or whatever. I have to see you. Will you please meet me by my dorm as soon as you can?

I waited barely 15 minutes before he replied. The sound of the phone going of jolted me and I almost fell off the bed. I hadn't expected a reply so soon.

RomeoGuy65: I'm here.

I did not expect him to arrive so soon either. He must have been nearby.
I jumped up, gripping my hands and digging my nails into my fingers- I was so nervous. I didn't know what I wanted to say or do. I just knew I had to see him.

I opened the door and found him standing there fidgeting, he was clearly nervous as well.

Good. I didn't feel so bad.

"Hi." He spoke softly, breaking the silence.

"Hi." I nodded, leaning against the door.

"You said you wanted to see me."

"I did, come on in." I led him inside and shut the door behind him. I paced back and forth trying to form words in my head but they wouldn't come. My mind was blank. All I could think of was him. I wanted to kiss him. I wanted to be in his arms and have him hold me close. All I thought about was how perfect it felt the moment we kissed for the first time. I'd gone from thinking he was a selfish jerk to crushing on him. At this point however I was beginning to feel like it was more than a crush.

"I'm breaking up with Kate." He quickly said.

I blinked. That wasn't what I expected but my heart leapt at the words. "Why?"

"I thought it was about time. I don't really like her too much anyway." He smirked. I saw the happiness behind his entrancing eyes. The blue really stood out today.

"I bet she's not going to be happy with you." I shook my head, smilling.

Nate walked closer to me. He was taller than me but the right height. I wanted to wrap my arms around his neck and pull him close.

But that would be weird.

I had to hold my back my fantasizing and try and tell him what I'd planned in my head. I'd gone over it before I'd asked him to come around.
I knew what I wanted to say. I had to spit it out before he left again.

"You are a great guy Nate and I'm sorry that at first I thought you were otherwise." I explained, I had felt guilty for the way I'd treated him for one stupid thing. "I know how you feel and relationships are hard they take work but you can't put up a wall in an attempt to protect you from getting hurt by them. If you don't experience the bad things how can you enjoy the good things?"

After I'd finished speaking he looked at me, smiling. He was moving closer towards me now. I could feel my heart racing, skipping beats, I was afraid it'd jump right out of my chest. It made it worse when his hand moved up and grazed my cheek. He ran his fingers down my face and along my neck.

"Mia," He whispered into my ear. His warm breath sent a shiver through me. "I'm falling in love with you."
