"Good bye dears!!" Tarra sniffs. I'm going to miss her. The other tributes arrive. Brusk and Eta walk over and starts talking to us. I try to listen but I couldn't focus. The others just eyeballed the others, sizing them up.
"Jenna, you there?" Alto questions.
"Huh?" I piped.
"I said, what do you think the arenas going to be this year?"
"Oh... Um it could be a forest?" I whisper. Eta was starting to say something when the blimp came. It was huge! It could fit at least 20 buses inside.
As we are seated a doctor with a long knife like thing walks over to me. He says to count to 3. I get to 2 and he jabs the thing into my arm. It hurt even more than I expected!
When he left I felt my arm still throbbing from the pain. It was a huge lump. I could see that there was a small round ball inside of my skin. I touched it. A jap of pain ran through my body. That’s the last time I’m touching that!
I look in front of me to see Alto and Brusk chatting quietly. I turn to my left and find Iveris shifting nervously in her seat. "Are you ok?" ask. She just glances at me with fear and nods her head. She quickly turns to her left.
"Are you sure you don't want to be allies Hazel?" she whispers.
"Yes I'll be fine, don't worry!" Hazel says calmly.
The blimp finally lands. And we are loaded in to a giant elevator. I can feel us going deeper and deeper in to the ground. It stops after a little while and the two from 12 get off.
This goes the same for the rest of us. Then it comes down to Alto, me, Brusk, Eta, the two nerds from three, and Iveris and Sean. It rather awkward just waiting there.
Finally the elevator comes to our floor. We exit and split off. I come to a room with my name on it. I enter. I see Merope, I run into her arms and start bawling.
"It’s ok, it's ok." she assures me. I calm down and she hands me my outfit for the arena. It just a pair of combat boots a rain jacket, a black tee, and a pair of pants made for running. I slip them on. Once I'm ready she hands me my Greek coin necklace.
