Chapter 11

This day was a torture to me, after I was paired up with the devil Kai, he teased me and we fought like there is no tomorrow. My heart is not behaving well also, and it made me so tired. After my whole day of torment, I went to my room to relax myself. I was comforting myself with my soft blanket when Sarah stormed inside the room.

“Stand up bitch”, she said to me. I was so shocked with her words. Did I do something? Did she knew what happened earlier? I stood up in front of her. I want to explain everything but when I opened my mouth, she slap me so hard. The pain in my check really made me drop a single tear. It was really a hard slap.

“That’s for flirting with my boyfriend. Don’t you ever get near him again. Your ugly face doesn’t fit Kai’s environment. Do you think he will like you? You’re just a toy to him which he can easily tease. Don’t expect too much bitch, you will just end up crying” she said angrily.

I just stay silent I don’t know how to react.

Did I expect something?

I don’t want to react to her despising comment because those were all true. I don’t fit to Kai’s environment. I am a sore to his eyes.

“Don’t you ever like him, he will not like you back. See yourself in the mirror ugly”, that’s the same word Kai used to me at the library. Did I like him? I don’t know maybe a little? But I can’t like him, he was like a living Adonis, while I am a little dirt he used to step in and a toy he wished to tease. We don’t match at all.

“Stay away from him or you will not like my consequence ugly bitch”, she said and went outside the room. I didn’t even utter a single word to defend myself. I was totally defeated. I cried in my bed not because of the slap from Sarah but because I have admitted to myself that somehow I like Kai and I know he will not like me back. That was so frustrating.

I wish my friends were here. I miss them so much. I didn’t contact them for the past days since there is no signal in this area. They will totally make my day nice. I just sleep that night without even having a dinner.

When morning came, I went to the kitchen to have something to eat. Having sleep as dinner last night makes me hungry. It was still 4:00 in the morning and I cook my own breakfast. I don’t want to eat breakfast with them later, I don’t want to see Sarah and Kai. After eating, I wash my plates and went outside to get some fresh air. It was still dark and the morning air touching my skin is really cold. I hugged myself to subside the cold I felt then something warm covered my back. A jacket was placed in my shoulder. I turn myself to see who covered me with those clothes and I saw the man I really don’t want to see.

Kai.

“Do you want to catch cold?” “Why are you here outside, it was still dark, let’s get inside” he caught my hand and started to drag me to the pent house but I take my hand back.

“Just leave me alone Kai, I don’t need your care at this moment”, I said to him, turning away.

“Hey, do you have a problem with me?” he asked like he really cared.

“No. I just want to be alone”, I said. I don’t want him to know that his protective girlfriend slap me last night and threat me to avoid him.

“Why are you so difficult Mia! You are so hard to read! I thought we are good yesterday. But why didn’t you show up for dinner?

“Did I say something that upset you? He sounded like he is so concerned. He has a good acting skills. I want to give him a thousand applause. He wanted some acting, I will give him what he wants.

“Yes!” I yelled to him.

“Do you think I am having fun while you are teasing me? It’s been 4 months Kai. Four months of torment from you! Four months of bullying and suffering. Now you’re asking me if you upset me? Huh! No, you don’t upset me because you are killing me silently. Congratulations Kai! You win!” I clapped my hands to show to him that I surrendered.
