Chapter 23- Three Bitches

Mia's POV

I immediately walked outside the room after I received the text message from Matt that one of the crew in the restaurant will be absent today, he asked me to fill in Olga's duty and it's only 30 minutes from now. As much as I want to fight against that Devil, it will just slow me down and my work is more important than him. It doesn't mean, I am going to back out from him, I just have to know my priorities first and he is not on my list.

I will get back to him.

He was flirting at me earlier, was it his way of tormenting me?

Well, it kind the distract me but I have to fight it.

When I entered the restaurant, Matt and the other crew were already busy. I went to the staff room to change and then served the costumers.

My back was still aching this time, every time I took orders from tables, I need to bow down a little and it made a burning pain in my back.

The incident yesterday was still fresh in my memories. How he stole my first kiss and how he provoked me. Every time it dwindles my mind, my anger became deeper.

Despite my anger this time and the pain in my back, I still managed to smile in front of the costumers and it made me gather a lot of tips. It made me a bit happy.

When my shift was over, it's already 10:00 in the evening. I took the privilege to eat dinner. I've been working straight for almost 5 hours and it really made me hungry. I ate at the staff room with the other crew who were also eating their dinner.

Matt came in and when he saw me, he approached me and swung a hard tap on my back as a thank you. It made me cringed and he noticed it.

"Hey, it's not that hard, why you are wincing so much?" he asked assessing my reaction earlier.

"I just have a little injury on my back and you tapped it hard gurl" I told him the truth but I whispered to him the last word.

"Wait what?" "Injury?" "Let me see it" he started lifting my white sleeve uniform to see my back but I stopped him, glaring him that there are people inside the room.

Thankfully they were busy eating, they didn't noticed what he did. It made me relieved, I don't want them to think that we have a romantic kind of relationship with Matt.

Then he gestured the "oh, I'm sorry look". I just smiled at him.

When the other crew left and the two of us where alone inside the room. He examined my back and I let him.

"Gurl, you're back was so bruise, you have to be checked by a doctor" he said in a worried tone.

"Is it that bad?" I asked him.

"Yup, it's too violet in here" he poke the area that was really painful and it made me bite my lips. It's really sore.

"Yeah, I will let it check this coming Sunday" I told him. It's my only vacant time.

"Sunday? Are you going to murder yourself? It's too long girl! You have to go to the doctor tomorrow" he told me crossing his arms together.

"I will see about that" I half lied. I have class tomorrow and I don't have time for check-up. I will just endure it until Sunday. I will just drink some pain killers to subside the soreness.

After that, we separated ways. I went outside the restaurant and call a cab. After an hour, I am already lying on my bed. Lily wasn't at the dorm this time, she attended a partial hearing outside the city. I am so proud of her, she's gaining name on her Law course. I want to tell her about what happened but I think it will just worry her, so I will just let it for myself. I texted my bff's good night and they also replied good night.
