My wallet was almost empty. I am running out of money.
I am now in great danger.
I sighed.
This semester was killing me to the bones. Projects here and projects there. Materials here and materials there, I always spent a lot of money for my requirements. The allowance from school wasn’t enough to suffice the subject necessities. My mother will send me money at the end of the month and my project will be submitted next week. I will not reach the schedule if I wait for it. I have to do something.
I have to find a part time job.
That’s it!
I dialed Marcel’s number, I know she has lots of connection, maybe she can help me find a job. This way I can also forget Kai and Sarah. I don’t know when he will be back, I hope not too soon. I will definitely defeat him, but as for now I have to face my requirements or else I will fail.
“Hello Marcel?” I asked on the other line.
“Hey Mia, miss me already?” she teased.
“Yeah, I missed you but that is not the reason why I am calling.” I told her.
“What is the problem Mia?” she sounded worried on the other line. They always get worried when it comes to me. These girls were so protective but I loved their way of loving me.
“No, there’s no problem, I just want to ask if you can help me find a job?” I told her straight to the point.
“Why do you need a job? It will just burden you Mia” she replied.
“I have lots of requirements this semester and I need part time job Cel, it will greatly help me, and I assure you “a job” will not burden me, don’t worry”, I said to her trying to convince her.
“I will give you money if that’s what you need” her answer made me frown.
When will they accept that I will be fine on my decisions? Their over protective.
“Marcel, I know you have lots of money but I want to earn it on my own, I don’t want to be a burden on you.” I sighed and I know she heard it. My bff’s always treat me as a child.
“It’s all right Cel, I can figure it out myself, thanks.” I almost hit the off button when she talked again.
“Waaaiitt” I put the phone back on my ears to listen to her.
“Okay, I will help you, just…….don’t be sad and don’t be mad, okay?” I smiled hearing her words.
“Thank you Cel!, thank you, I owe you this one, I love you” I told her happily.
“I will text you the address and other details” she sighed, I heard it from the other line.
“Thank you again Cel, I will not let you down, I will really work hard” I replied to her.
We utter our goodbyes and hit the off button. I went to the class after I called Marcel, the class was quiet and it really bothers me. I asked Darwin what happened and he said that they were just tired about the varied requirements in every subject. I felt them, I am also tired of it, but it was part of our education so better accept it than sulk our hearts on it.
When the professor came, the lecture started. I listened to every words he said and took down important notes which I always do. After the discussion I went to the cafeteria to buy some snacks then I heard my phone buzzed. I took it from my pocket and examine who texted me.
It was from Marcel and there’s another unknown number. I open first the message of Marcel.
Fr. Bff Marcel
