Chapter 27 - Harassed

Kai’s POV

I am now inside my car with Mia resting in my arms. She fainted earlier and I am thankful that I arrived on time, I will not forgive myself if something happened to her.

I instructed my chauffer to run to our hospital as soon as possible, I want to admit her in there, she will be treated in there with special care.

I’ve been searching for her for almost 4 hours. After being in Spain for almost two weeks, I finally went home and the only thing I have in mind is to see her. My father passed out during one of his meeting two weeks ago, no other person to act as the CEO at the moment I have to do the job, I’ve been trained by my father and raised for his business, even though I really don’t want to inherit it but I don’t have a choice and my father gave me freedom to choose the course I wanted to study but in the end I will still inherit his company.

I’ve been very guilty for not saying goodbye to her, I’ve been dragged the moment I came out from my Ferrari that same day. I contacted her but her phone was out of coverage area, maybe she changed her number, she never replied to my text even once. Her social media account was off line and her friends just seen my messages. I’ve been trying my hardest just to contact her but I didn’t get a chance.

After my private plane took off around 3 pm, I immediately went to the model room to see her, but she’s not in there. I asked our classmates if they saw her, but they didn’t. I asked one of her friend which I think Vyndell but she refused to tell me. I don’t know what’s wrong with her friends, they didn’t like me so much. I bugged her just to tell me where she was and finally after an hour of asking she told me that maybe she’s at work. She told me the address of her workplace and then I saw her out of the restaurant. I saw her walking to grab some taxi but she seemed tired, I walked towards her and I caught her before she fainted.

We were still running along the road while I caress her soft white face, it’s really pale this time, her eye bags were visible and she’s burning hot.

Why did she overworked herself? Why is she punishing herself with this?

I can always provide everything she needs and wants but this girl has a thick skull, she will never receive any form of kindness from me. She’s very independent.

Since that time that she told me that she never dated Shion and Clark, everything was clear to me. Sarah made her way to fabricate everything and I absentmindedly took her bait. I’ve been torturing Mia because of my false accusation towards her. I thought she’s flirting with other guys, I was clouded by jealousy and anger, I didn’t even asked her about everything. I’m truly sorry about it and I am doing my best to make up with her but then I leave her again. But now that I am back, I will make sure to give her everything and let her feel my love towards her.

After some time we arrived at the hospital. I held her in my arms bridal style as we strode in, the doctors came running to us when they saw that it was me. They recognized me and I wanted to tell them that I have a VIP in my arms. They tend her immediately, I waited outside as instructed by the doctor.

After an hour, the doctor came out telling me that I can get inside. I saw her sleeping on the bed, I wanted her to be comfortable that was why I chose the biggest private room of the hospital just for her. I held her hands to mine, her skin was now back to normal but she’s still looked tired.

I stayed in there sitting in one of the chair I dragged earlier, I caress her hand and then I rested my head to the side of her bed. I wanted to stay up for the whole night to tend her but my exhaustion from travel took me to a deep slumber.

Mia’s POV

I woke up from the blinding light inside the room. I examined my environment and I think I’m in the hospital. I moved myself to sit in my bed but someone’s holding my hand making me stopped on the track. The person was resting his head in the side of my bed and is holding my hand tightly. I looked at the face of the person and it was no other than Kai.
