Chapter 30 - School Play

I am now at the theatre room reading my lines alone. Ms. Lilian isn’t around yet and Vyn was still on her dorm. I glance on my watch it was almost 9 in the morning, they will be here anytime soon.

I am standing at the center of the stage and utter my lines without doubting if anyone was looking at me because there’s no one inside except me.

Lead role Female: You’re the first and will be my last. I love you but we cannot be together.

That’s one of my favorite line from the story. I continued my lines, I felt confident since I knew no one was listening and watching me.

Lead role Female: You’re world was different from mine. You’re the sun and I’m the moon, you shine bright while I only depend on your light. You’re important…… while I am just a dust. You’re the king and I am just a mere servant. You’re too high and I am too low, we were both at the edge of extremities. We live in the opposite world. We were not meant to encounter yet I dragged myself towards you and now I am at the brink of the cliff waiting for the last step I must took on.

Lead role Female: I am ready to die for you………..it is the proper thing to do.

My eyes became teary, I heartily felt the lines now.

Then I heard a voice, a familiar voice that I longed to hear from the past days. I looked to end my assumption. It’s really him……………..my Kai.

Lead role Male: Is that your final verdict?
  Letting me go without fighting for our love?

His uttering the lines of Shion. It feels like he’s telling the truth.

Lead role Male: You never dragged yourself to me mi amore, I drawn myself towards you.

I fell in love with you without any barrier and it was the happiest decision I made in my entire life.

You brought the pieces together and now the puzzle I’ve longed to solve was now standing in front of me.

You complete me mi amore. You’re my world and my every breathe depends on you. I cannot live in this world without you.

You mean the world to me.

He moved closer to me and my breathing became unusual. I stood there not wanting to break the eye contact we have. Everything was in slow motion and I think I could faint anytime soon.

Lead role Male: I mean everything I said, don’t give up on me, mi amore.

Then he hugged me tightly like he missed every inch of me. My hands were now ready to hug him back when Ms. Lilia interrupted the show.

“Cut!” she shouted. Kai dropped his hands that caged me to his warm embrace. I almost scold him for breaking our contact.

“That was the most touching scene I ever heard from you Mia. Very good!” she said clapping her hands.

“You can be a great actor Kai, thank you for giving us a hand.” Ms. Lilian said to Kai and then her eyes gazed at me.

“Kai will help us to utter the lines of Shion for today. I knew you both know each other, so it will be easier for us to do this.” She said with wide smile on her face. I examined the face of Kai, his not good about this, I think he was just pushed to do this stuff. I felt sorry for him. I know he doesn’t want to see me but now he doesn’t have a choice.

“Are you sure you want to do this?” I asked him.

“I can explain to Ms. Lilian if you don’t want……to do this……with me.” I said stammering.
