The edges of Kakashi's lips lifted into a warm smile.
"You're just getting to it, ain'tcha,"
I felt myself fluster. He was right.
"Right off the bat." He laughed.
"Yeah, haha, guess you're right," I said scratching the back of my head.
"I should've made you wait for it."
He looked at me for a couple of seconds before walking to his bed. He sat down and patted the space next to him. I sat down and looked up at him.
"Hey, relax," he said grabbing my shoulders and shaking me a bit.
"You look tense."
He was right. Again.
I relaxed my shoulders, unclenched my jaw, and slouched down a bit.
He grabbed my hand and caressed it with his thumb.
"Can I tell you something?"
I nodded.
"Life is difficult. And I don't just mean for me; for everyone,"
He looked down at the ground.
"Conflict at every corner you turn. Murder, betrayal, death of friends. These missions are driving me insane. I hate it all. Seemed like all there was to this world was grief,"
he paused for a moment before he leaned his head on my shoulder.
"You're exactly what I need. In fact, you're exactly what everyone needs. You're constantly smiling and laughing. I fell in love with your demeanor."
"Kiss me."
His lips were on mine before I knew it. Literally. He kissed me like he wanted to be kissed, like no girl or boy had ever kissed him, soft and moist and hot and breathy, not trying to win a battle, but seeking union and closeness and the sharing of one short breath, one sensation, one timeless and passionate moment. The heat rose in my cheeks as his tongue touched my tongue, quick, electric and delicious, then firmer, more determined.
He pulled back. left me panting and disappointed. I wanted more.
This is it.
He's the one I want.
