chapter 13: masked beauty

Nayeon's POV

I'm in my bed..... Sulking. Honestly, I don't want to cry. My dad would hated it if he sees my cry.

When I was a little, I have always been a crybaby. Dad hated it and he said that if I cry, he'll hurt me with his belt.

At first, it was very hard not to cry so he always hurts me. I know he hurt me that time because he wants a strong girl. But as days passed, I have learned not to cry. Dad then apologized for hurting me but I thanked him. He trained me to hold back my tears.

My phone vibrated and I noticed I received a notification in Instagram.

Jungkook added you to ~*Friends*~

Taehyung:
yah! Nayeonnie, where were you?

Jungkook:
yeah, we didn't saw you.

Hoesoek:
you also told us you'll watch us rehearse.

Nayeon:
Sorry guys, emergency.

Namjoon:
What do you mean by that?

Jungkook:
What happened?

I sighed. I just off my phone and put it on my bed.

I really didn't want to talk about this.

Jungkook's POV

Nayeon didn't respond after her first reply. It seems she is not in the mood.

But what worries me is what emergency was she talking about.

Me and the hyungs are currently eating dinner.

"Actually, I think we should thank Nayeon for convincing us to join the talent show." Namjoon hyung said.

"Convinced you. We wanted though in the first place. It was just you who didn't." Sugar hyung replied to him

"Alright, I should thank her more. But you guys should too." Namjoon said.

"We know." We all replied together.

I smiled again, remembering what happened at the dressing room.

Even if I already know how beautiful she is, it's still new to see her face up close. Especially her eyes, but what bothered me was that those eyes were familiar.

It was an eye of a masked face. It turns out that the girl who has a perfect life is wearing a mask.

I sighed.

I promise that I'll do what I can to see what's behind that beautiful mask.......
