i wipe my eyes and calm down, the front door opens and shuts.
*end of recap*
about 4 hours go by and my phone starts ringing, i walk over to where i dropped it. i grab it and see that it's jaden, i answer the phone call and put my phone to my ear. i shut my door and walk over to my bed, i pull my knees up to my chest and lay my head down on them. tears gather in my eyes.
brooke: hey.
jaden: hey brooke. i'm so sorry for what happened. josh is a complete jerk and i'm sorry he did that to you.
brooke: he's the biggest jerk ever. five months jaden, he cheated on me for five months. i thought i was good enough for him-
jaden: i know and it's extremely fucked up that he did that to you. don't say that because you are way more than good enough. he messed up and he lost something great and that's his fault. you're such a amazing person and don't let a cheating asshole make you think that you aren't good enough because that's not true.
brooke: thanks jaden but i still feel so stupid. i wasted two years with him and i'm not gonna get those years back. i shouldn't let this affect me this bad but it is and i'm
hurt and it sucks and i'm confused. i don't know how i feel about this situation. i'm hurt and i'm sad but yet i feel numb and not upset. i don't know how i can feel so hurt but also not hurt and completely fine at the same time.
jaden: maybe we should get out of town this weekend. i can come pick you up and we can go a few towns over or the next town over or something. that might help take your mind off of josh and maybe it will help you determine how you completely feel about this situation.
brooke: okay.
jaden: when do you want to leave?
brooke: can we leave tonight?
jaden: you want to leave tonight?
brooke: yeah.
jaden: okay. i'll be there in about half an hour.
brooke: okay. thank you jaden.
jaden: of course. i'll see you soon.
brooke: okay.
jaden hangs up and i get off of my bed, i walk to my closet and grab my suitcase. i bring it over to my bed and set it on there, i open my suitcase and start gathering everything i'll need. when i finish i zip my suitcase up and put my shoes on, my phone starts ringing. i grab it and see that it's jaden again, i answer it.
jaden: hey i'm here.
brooke: okay. i'll be out in a second.
jaden: okay.
i hang up and walk out of my room, i run down the stairs dragging my suitcase behind. i walk over to the front door.
calum: brooke where you going?
michael: come talk to us.
ashton: we know what's going on. we heard you and josh-
brooke: just leave me alone. i'm done.
luke: done with what?
brooke: everything.
i open the front door and walk outside, i see jaden's car parked by the sidewalk. he turns his car off and gets out of it, he walks over to me and grabs my suitcase.
brooke: thank you.
jaden: of course brooke.
he smiles at me and i smile weakly back at him, we walk over to his car and he opens his trunk. he puts my suitcase in the trunk, he shuts the trunk and the front door opens. we turn our heads and see calum walking out of the house with ashton, luke and michael following him.
calum: where are you going?
brooke: no where calum.
luke: you're going somewhere. you packed a suitcase.
brooke: i'll be back in a couple of days.
jaden walks over to the drivers side door and gets in while i get in the passenger side, before i shut the car door calum says something again.
calum: what's that supposed to mean? where are you going?
brooke: calum just let me be. i need space from this crappy town and i need space from a crappy boy. i'll be back in a few days.
i shut the door and jaden turns the car on, he starts driving.
jaden: where do you want to go?
brooke: i don't know. surprise me.
jaden: *laughs* okay.
around 3 hours go by and it's now 9:55pm, i lean my seat back and yawn.
jaden: there's a pillow and a blanket in the back.
brooke: okay. thank you jaden.
jaden: you're welcome.
i see him smile and i grab the pillow and blanket, i cover up with the blanket and fall asleep a few minutes later. i wake up a little bit later to jaden shaking me a bit and turning the car off, i yawn and open my eyes.
jaden: hey, we're at the hotel.
brooke: *yawns* okay. where are we?
