- You shouldn't agree to date someone just because they asked, and you shouldn't feel pressured into anything. Relationships should happen naturally and shouldn't feel forced by any of you!

- Make sure to communicate because, while relationships can be sudden at first, you should move at a comfy pace for however many of you are involved!

- Your partner(s) should respect your privacy and shouldn't have to test your loyalty by checking things like your texts and social media, etc.

- If you question that they have your back and support you, that should probably be addressed and it's worth holding a conversation about it.

- You shouldn't have to lie about your opinions/life/etc because you should be able to be open and honest with them about anything.

- Even when things become difficult or challenging, and you have to say something that they might not like to hear, they should be able to be considerate and y'all need to compromise.

- You should be able to be separate from your partner: they shouldn't rule your whole life and you are allowed time away from them.

-  A big red flag for an unhealthy relationship may be that they stop you from seeing coworkers/friends/family in an effort to isolate you.

- Set boundaries.

- Differing opinions are okay in a relationship and should lead to open conversations between you.

- It shouldn't always be one of you compromising or making an effort to please the other.

- Listen to each other.

- Empathy, kindness, and understanding is key!

- Both of you should be able to take responsibility for and understand when made a mistake unintentionally caused an impact on the other.

- Conflict is normal, and so is arguing, however, belittling and shouting is unhealthy.

- Find the root of conflicts (especially if similar problems seem to occur).

- Good times should outweigh the bad, however, bear in mind that no relationship is perfect.
