Y/n thought, as her smile slowly faded into a frown. She clenched her fist as she looked down to the floor, her heart ached. She tried her best to hold back her tears which wanted to escape. Sadly, she failed and it kept flowing down her face.

"a-amane a-am i not-"

Y/n said in a sad tone, stuttering every word. Hanako was shocked to see Y/n's teary face and started to worry. He took out the handkerchief from his right pocket and lifted her chin with his finger, wiping her tears away. A light tint of pink could be seen on Y/n's wet face at Hanako's gesture.

"What's wrong Y/n? You can talk to me, i'm here for you."

Hanako asked once he wiped away all the tears. He cared for her and wanted to check if everything was okay. Y/n was still visibly unhappy which i don't blame her for since who wouldn't be sad if their crush liked their best friend righ- However, Hanako couldn't help but wonder if he said something to offend her,

"N-nothing I'm fine."

Y/n lied, she gave Hanako a painful smile as she fiddled with her fingers behind her back. Hanako knew she was lying and wanted to cheer her up. He stood in front of her and gave her a tight hug, resting his head on hers as he smelt the scent of strawberries coming from her,

"D-don't cry okay?"

Hanako said hoping for Y/n not to be sad anymore, she chuckled at his cuteness and nodded her head before quickly pulling away. Y/n knew she didn't have a chance with Hanako and thought it was best for Yashiro to be the one to feel his embrace. Deep down she loved it, Hanako's touch and warmth and wished they could have stayed like that forever. Anyway, it was silent for a while as the both of them scratched the back of their heads.

"U-uhm thank you Hanako-"

Y/n's words suddenly got cut off by the sound of her phone ringing. As she looked at her phone screen, she realized that Yashiro was the one who was calling her. Curious of what she wanted, Y/n answered the call and placed the phone to the side of her ear.

'She's so pretty, I wish she smiled more.'

Hanako thought, he found Y/n beautiful, like an angel from the heavens. Yes he liked Yashiro but Y/n was the girl who would always be at the back of his mind 24/7. It's not like she felt any romantic feelings towards her but he just admired her, or so he thought...

Is Hanako a playboy? Maybe, since he can't make up his god damn mind on who he likes jeez.

"HUH- O-okay! Stay home and rest okay? Get well soon!"
