Schoolgirl Crush

Creating a new AU for Evangeline, cause her story while sweet, and even though I sorta cried while writing the end of Happily Ever After, there wasn't enough time with Tom. So, AU where her father comes and gets her and the first time she meets Tom is at school. Also it presents Tom as an adolescent when he's with her just a regular teenage boy, with a superiority complex. And I just watched Tangled so Evangeline and Rapunzel are similar + swearing.

Evangeline was in the Slytherin common room her head on her sister's lap. Cecilia really liked playing with hair as she vented. Four years older in her seventh year of Hogwarts, and she had grown to rather like her little sister.

Cecilia loved attention. Of all kinds. So when she discovered her new little sister liked to draw, she had commissioned no less than twenty portraits, for one singular hug.

And Evangeline being Evangeline desperate for her family's love and affection, gladly took her up on the offer.

Her brother Raymond Junior was a Ravenclaw. And in his third year. He was a dick most of the time, but he was a playful jerk. He enjoyed embarrassing his sisters.

For such an unconventional set of siblings they sure did get along, most of the time at least. Evangeline having only joined the family when she was six.

"I can't believe he would do that." Said Evangeline as Cecilia ranted about how her boyfriend had cheated on her.

"And with a Gryffindor no less." Said Cecilia, shaking her head, as she continued to play with her sister's dirt coloured hair, "She's a bitch too."

"But he's the Bitch and a half if he hurts my sister," said Evangeline, and Cecilia laughed and tugged on her hair lightly, "Ow."

"Father says to do that whenever you swear." Said Cecilia,

"But you just-"

"I don't make the rules, Eve, I just enforce them," said Cecilia raising her arms in mock surrender, and Evangeline rolled her eyes, and then she spotted her partner for her potions project, and she sat up, "Oh, that's him?"

Of course she had to ask advice about boys or boy from her older sister. Since second year she'd had a crush on her potions partner.

Not uncommon for girls her age. She was even more intimidated that the rest of her year were crushing on the same boy.

"Shut up, Cece." Said Evangeline, who at thirteen had an crush, albeit small, on Tom Riddle.

"I give it a few years, three max." She said,

"I'm only thirteen," said Evangeline, "And boys are are, well they can be handsome but they smell. And I don't even know what it is to like someone. Maybe it's just like a tOtaLy platonic thing."

"For now," said Cecilia, "Soon boys will be handsome and then the biggest asshats you will ever meet."

"I can't wait." Said Evangeline standing up, "But now I have a project to work on, good bye," Tom was walking from the common room and Evangeline caught up to him, "Hey Riddle, wait up,"

"What is it, Everett?" He asked politely,

"Well, we have that project, and I thought we could work on it now since it's Saturday and you don't seem overly fond of Quidditch, so," said Evangeline as she fell into step beside him, "I figured we could finish it sooner rather than later."

He seemed thoughtful for a moment before looking her over as though assessing her.

"Alright." He said and she smiled,

"Where are you from?" She asked, and he looked to her confused, "You sound like your from London."

"I am from London." He replied as they mounted the stairs. She had noticed that he was very quiet and did not like to talk about himself at all. This was the first thing she'd gotten out of him.
