I talk with the family of three for a minute or so before Josh approaches.

"Markus wants to have a word with us," he tells me, and I nod.

Looking back to the family, I say politely, "I'm sorry, but you'll have to excuse me for a while."

Kara nods, "That's alright. Thanks for catching up with us."

"Don't mention it," I smile lightly before following Josh to the stairs.

We shuffle past a guy with a brown jacket and a beanie on, which is all I saw of him as I didn't really give him a glance. I state quietly as I slip by, "Excuse me, sir."

The stare from earlier is still present as Josh and I make it to the top of the stairs. We head over to the captain's cabin, meeting up with the others to talk.

Things get heated fairly quickly.

"We're short on blue blood and biocomponents. Our wounded are shutting down and there's nothing we can do!" Josh informs us, expressing his concerns.

"President Warren is saying we're a threat to national security and we need to be exterminated," Simon pitches in.

"Humans are conducting raids in all the big cities and they're taking androids to camps to destroy them!" North adds, infuriated with the humans.

"It's terrible," I add, shaking my head. "They're slaughtering innocent people."

"It's all our fault... None of this would have happened if we'd just stayed quiet!" Josh says.

"If we'd stayed quiet, we'd never get freedom for androids," I retort. "At least we're trying, right?"

"We couldn't just suffer in silence—they're killing us! Nothing is gonna justify that," Markus cuts in.

"What's the point of being free if no one is left alive?" Josh remarks.

"Humans enslaved us! I'll never regret standing up to that."

"We shouldn't forget who our enemies are. We can't fight amongst ourselves," Simon mentions, trying to cool down the situation.

"Dialogue. It is the only way... I will go alone, try to talk to them one last time," Markus decides.

"Don't do this, Markus. They'll kill you!" North protests, worried for her lover.

I've seen their google eyes—you ain't gonna catch me slippin'.

"Maybe...but North, I have to try. If I don't come back, lay low as long as you can," he replies.

"Just come back," Simon states.

"Alive," I add. "We need you here."

"They need to realize how much they're hurting us... Find the right words and they'll listen," Josh concludes before all of us, except for North and Markus himself, exit.
