"No mom! I can't talk about this in front of everyone! In front of John!" I snap at my mom. We we're at the Hype House getting ready to go to the court again, and my mom told me the news that I will have to talk about my abuse to the judge...in front of everyone
"I know it's hard sweetie, but you are strong and I believe in you. You have to" my mom came closer to me and hugged me, I hugged her back just looking at nothing. We pull back and I sigh. I went to the kitchen and got a bottle of water
"Hey" someone from behind spoke
"Oh hey" I say putting my water bottle down and sitting down
"How are you feeling?" Tony said leaning on the counter
"I-I can't Tony" I let it out and my eyes got glossy
"Yes you can, you know you can Maya, you are strong" Tony assured me looking at me and waiting for me to meet his gaze
"Stop saying that, everyone is saying that and I'm not. I just gotta face this" I finally look at him in the eye
"Yes you are" Tony simply says
"It's not only gonna hurt me it's also gonna hurt you....." I brake the eye contact and look another way
"What do you mean" Tony furrows his eyebrows
"I- I'm gonna have to speak every single detail of the hard days I went thru" I play with my fingers and imagine saying all of that in front of John. Tony came closer and hugged me,I hugged back and it made me realized that I missed him more than I imagined, I needed him and more right now... I want him back....
"We all believe in you Maya, you can do this. If you have to look at someone look at me, not him" Tony said still hugging me. I rest my chin on his shoulder, I nodded and pull away
"I will" i whisper looking deeply into his amazing brown eyes
"Alright it's time to leave" Charli says grabbing her stuff
"Cmon Maya" Addison gently grabbed my hand for us to leave
"Wait" I say stoping in my tracks and she gives me a confused look
"Everyone please listen to me" i nervously say and they call came and made a circule
"I just wanted to say thank you everyone, Tayler, Avani, Dixie, Charli, Ondreaz,Tony, Addioson, Mom, Omar, Anthony, Bryce, Michael and Chase for being here with me in here hard moments" I say with my voice cracking looking at them. I see all of them ready to tear up but they hold them back
"I'm really sorry for what all of you are gonna hear at the court..." I let a tear roll down
"You don't have to feel ashamed Maya, he's the only guilty here. We are gonna be there sitting strong for you" Isaac said wiping my tear away
"It's-It's gonna hurt all of you" I whisper. It's gonna be the first time I talk about this in detail....
"Maya" Dixie's voice cracks
"We'll b-be strong for you babe" I see her she was ready to cry but didn't
"Like k said if you need too look at someone, look at me" Tony said to me grabbing my hand and I just nod.
