"What if they let him free?" I tell Tony panicking. We we're now with a little break that the Judge gave us to make the hardest decision in the court... let him free or be guilty..
"They're not, trust me Maya" Tony said hugging me and kissed my forehead
"How are you so sure" I break the hug and walk around the waiting room anxious
"You really think they're gonna let a monster out? " he says so confident and it's crazy how's he so sure. I bite my nails and stare at him
"Come" he says giving me his hand and wrapping me again. His body so hot and his chest so snuggly for me.
"The judge and the Jury are getting ready, please wait for some minutes" a guard came to inform us and I nod, I look at Tony and feel so scared of their decision
"Maya, everything is gonna be fine" My brother Isaac came to me and wrapped his arm around my neck. I rest my neck on his shoulder and look at nothing, I can't speak I'm to scared to do so...
"You guys can come in now" the guard saying opening the doors. I haven't even stepped in and I see Johns back with his orange jumpsuit.
I finally managed to walk and I slowly make my way to my chair, the whole way glaring at John
"Calm down. I promise you god will not let him free" Tony said to me grabbing my hand
"Silence please" the Judge speaks hitting her thing (lol I don't know the name sorry..)
"This has been a hard and long process of my entire life of being a Judge. I can also say this was such a pain for everyone, but know we have to hear the decision of the Jury. If they haven't had the decision they will be one last court room. " she said with her loud voice.
"So has the Jury have made the decision?" She said looking at them and one of the Jury got up and nodded
"John Parker can you stand so you can hear the decision of the Jury" John nodded and got up, I could see him nervous just like all of us.
"John Parker, the process of this has been really hard and painful for everyone. That's why we decided we find you" the person stops and looks at me
"Guilty" I let out a relief and immediately my eyes started to water but I fought them back
"We find you guilty for raping a toddler and escaping. We find you guilty for kidnapping and trying of murder" I look at Tony and give him a smile. After all these year of suffering I finally got my life back and found my peace
"For every single one of those charges you are given... 32 year of prison with no possibility of getting out" I look at John and see him tearing up. How does if feel Dad?
"Please sit down Sir" the judge said hitting her thing ( 😂)
"Is there anyone who wants to say some words before we send him back to his jail? The judge said locking her hands looking for someone. I stand up and she nods
"John.... I just wanted to let you know that... if you would came back for me, for us... this couldn't have happened. If you should've said sorry, I wouldn't put you where you belong which is Jail... but you didn't not even some regret of you actions... but you know what you did and you still say your innocent" I say with my voice cracking. He didn't even look at me he just kept staring in front of him
"Bye forever John" I sit down and my moms shows me a huge proud smile
