unrequited love || hyeongjun

plot : y/n experiences a one-sided love from hyeongjun, can she be saved from this despair or not?

y/n stare from afar the figures of hyeongjun and aera, who were happily laughing and chatting with each other.

she smiled sadly, "atleast you're happy, with someone that was not me,"

they were bestfriends for 5 years and y/n had been liking him for 4 years and counting. she was too scared to confess and didn't want to waste their friendship.

turns out, it'll hurt less than what she was experiencing.

just a month ago, hyeongjun confessed his feelings to aera and obviously she accepted and they dated. y/n knew that hyeongjun has a crush on aera and she was the one who supported him to confess to her.

she thought that it was just a passing crush of his, but it wasn't.

the day he confessed was the happiest day for hyeongjun but was the worst day for y/n. it was hard to keep up a fake smile on your face when tears were threatening to fall.

the way hyeongjun's eyes sparkled the time he told her about aera, y/n knew she lost. she lost the battle of love.

the days that follow weren't better. pda sucks for singles, but for y/n, hyeonjun's and aera's pda was the worst. her heart was cracking every second she saw them together, hugging, cuddling, and doing couple stuff.

it pains her that all she has was unrequited feelings. it was all one-sided. she thought, "what could be the possiblities if i confessed?"

"would we have dates, lazy days, break-ups, and but then reconcile at 2am?" she once thought.

but those thoughts were shattered when another thought came in her head.

she laughed crazily at her stupid thoughts, "oh, i forgot my love was one sided from the start,"

another day, another pain.

"it's just a crush, why will it hurt so bad? move on and like other people too!" most of her friends told her.

she tried. but, he still remains in her fragile heart. it's suffocating her, she hated that she'll have to hear his giggles that was caused by another girl, she hated how he'll widely smile at aera and subtly smile at her.

she still liked him despite all of this sufferings. in fact, she liked him more.

one day, y/n can't take it anymore. she had enough, her heart can't do it anymore. she surrendered, she was broken and tired of this fight.

it was raining late at night back then. she was wearing a black hoodie and was slumping her way to the bus stop. she was all alone freezing, as she was always been at felt.

she looked up to the dark sky and smiled, "we were under the same sky, atleast,"

she chuckled, she was thinking of him again. she lowered her head as tears rolled down her *s/c face. "why am i so pathetic?" she muttered to herself, frustrated.

"you're not pathetic, you're just in love," she heard a male voice speak. she slowly raised her head, not facing him.

"who are you?" she asked, her voice was husky and raspy from all the crying. she didn't hear the stranger talk, "are you a pervert?" she asked again nonchantly.

she chuckled when the guy instantly answered back, probably flustered. "n-no i'm not! just, um, take this. wipe off your tears, you look prettier when you don't cry" he softly said as he reach out his handkerchief.

y/n scoffed, "yeah, with your last sentence you did sound like a pervert,"

"what's your deal anyway-" she finally faced him and was shocked.
