monday
y/n entered at her favorite café and went straight to the counter. luckily for her, there was no line because her body is in desperate need for some caffeine.
"you're early today, the usual?" serim asked y/n, chuckling. she nodded slightly before yawning and gave him the money, requirements were piling up and she was getting tired.
"one XL iced americano with 5 shots? damn, i'll be wide awake for 24 hours if i drank that," jungmo said to himself while looking at the order before going to his station and prepared the shots.
today was jungmo's first day in his friend's, serim, café. well technically, he'll be only working there for a week because the café's barista went on a leave suddenly, but she'll be back after a week.
serim asked jungmo for this favor as he was a former part-timer in a café for a long time. he agreed as he wasn't busy and he missed wprking in a café. after all 5 shots were ready. he swiftly reached for a XL cup and scooped some ice and dumped it in the cup. he filled it with water, poured the shots, placed the cover and a cupsleeve.
jungmo turned around to the counter and placed the cup of americano carefully.
"thank you- oh he's new?" y/n asked, gesturing at jungmo. jungmo looked up and saw the most prettiest person he had ever saw.
his heart suddenly beated rapidly and he froze. "yeah, he's my friend, koo jungmo. it's a long story, but he'll be here for a week only," serim said, putting his hand around jungmo's shoulder, who was still starstrucked.
"oh, i see. nice meeting you jungmo, i'm y/n, you'll probably see me around everyday," she said with a smile on her lips. serim budged him when he didn't reply because he was still frozen, "huh? oh- h-hello," he said, shyly.
y/n smiled again, "anyways, i'll be going now!" she waved to the two and serim waved normally at her while jungmo waved at her like a maniac, making her chuckle before going out.
after jungmo saw her left, he faced serim.
"hyung, i think- i think," jungmo held his heart before closing his eyes and sighed. "why? are you feeling unwell? do you want to go to the hospital?" serim bombarded him with questiond, worried.
"i think my heart's gonna burst. her smile is too much to handle, what should i do?!?!"
