Many days have passed. Everyday feeling like the one before, they all kind of molded together. I got my car window fixed, and let me tell ya, my pockets are kind of hurting.
I felt like it was a good time to return home, nothing strange has happened since I have been with Ella and I just miss my apartment.
I had said my goodbyes and thanked them for letting me stay. As I pulled up to my house I noticed a box sitting on my porch.
"Yes the cameras!" I said as I unlocked the front door, grabbing the box and shutting the door behind me as Nala and I entered the apartment.
The box looked as if the fedex man threw it down a couple flights of stairs and a few of the flaps looked to have been opened, but I guess that's normal. I opened the box the rest of the way and started to set them up.
I set up a camera in every room of the house, I still had one left over. I set up the doorbell with the camera on it and made sure they all worked and would pair to my phone.
My mom and I have had our routine talks, dad is alright. The test came back negative but he has two more tests to get just to make sure he is truly negative. She still is unaware of my situation, I don't want her to worry about me.
Nala was sitting at the door whimpering and I grabbed her leash and she started to jump on me with excitement. She loves taking walks, I have this extremely nice park in my neighborhood that we love to go to and play fetch and she can just run all of her energy off.
The walk was short as we entered the fenced in park. Nala and I played for a good hour, I threw the ball what seemed like a billion times. Ella's mom made me a plate to bring home, the thought of it made my stomach grumble.
As I started hooking Nala to her leash a black car pulled up to the side of the street that the park was on. Perfect timing, we had the park to ourselves the entire time.
We made it home and I threw the food into the microwave. I checked my phone to make sure the cameras were still working, it was strange. I was looking at myself, on my phone, walk through my apartment.
The day went by fast. It was filled with playing with Nala, watching the cameras and scrolling through social media. If this lockdown lasts any longer I might lose my mind.
I decided to take out my laptop and see if I have any new orders. I have my own business, Beauty Galore. I sell a lot of different things, but because of the pandemic we are slowing down orders and selling little to no items. I have came up with new concepts that still need to be put into motion, but I see no point until the lockdown is done.
There has been a few regular costumers that still order some items. Usually it's small items like keychains or water bottles, but here and there we get some people buying the bigger items. My business basically sells everything including clothing, makeup, home decor and little nic nacs.
As I opened the page I saw an order for the amount of $378 My mouth slowly fell open, we haven't had an order like that in weeks. I felt warmness overcome me as I scrolled through my website looking at all the things that I have made on my own.
"Maybe I'll personally deliver this order" I said to myself, thinking of what a great idea that was. I have all the stock I need to make the items in my apartment and I could deliver the items in probably two weeks.
"Dear Ashleigh,
Thank you for your purchase on my official website 'Beauty Galore' I would like to hand deliver this package to you, with consideration of the pandemic. I could set it on your porch and make my way. I would love to add in a few free items. If you would like to choose two or three items I would happily add them to you order with no cost."Sincerely, Alexis Gray
I sent the email and closed my laptop with a huge smile on my face. This business has been one of my greatest accomplishments and I truly put my all into it. I want my costumers to know I care about them and without them it would not even be possible.
Nala following close behind me I went to the front porch. I tied her up to her leash and sat on the front porch as I put my mind at ease. I'll start making her order tomorrow, I already have some of the things she wants made in stock.
