"You used to cut grass for us."

"You're very smart Alexis. That's when I first met you, such a playful little girl. So entertained with you're environment yet so naive and didn't see this coming. I continued to watch you for years. After that day I continued to cut your families lawn, it's not like I needed the money." He laughed and continued to speak.

"I just had this weird attraction to you. From that day on I watched you everywhere. At the store, at Ella's even in your apartment. I know you didn't know I was there, but I was." At the thought of him being inside my apartment gave me chills, I threw myself forward and again I was throwing up.

He quickly grabbed a trash can and I knowingly missed and directed myself towards him. To my surprise he quickly flinched away and it landed at the end of my bed.

"I just want to spend the day with you. You've been here for a week now and I've had barely enough time to even come and see you." So now I know I've been here for seven days total.

It's weird because it feels like I have been here for two days but somehow at the same time also feels like months. He started to reach for me and I flinched away.

"Alexis it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you." He said as he started to unlock the cuffs. As soon as my hands were free I started to rub my wrists, they were unbelievably sore.

"Now let's talk about that "boyfriend" of yours." He said putting air quotes around boyfriend.

"I don't want to speak to you." I said plainly and his mouth dropped open.

"Listen here, bitch, you will speak to
me, now tell me about Jermey." He said in a deep voice as he inched closer and closer to my face.

"How do you know his name? I haven't talked to you about him." I tried to scream out at him, but I barely had the energy.

"Sorry to break it to you babe, but I'm Jeremy." He said laughing, I reached for him but the collar around my neck that was attached to the table didn't let me get close enough.

"You're lying, he would never do that. He loves me." I yelled and he started laughing as he reached into his pocket.

He pulled out something that looked like a walkie talkie and started to speak into it. I then realized that it was 'Jeremys' voice. He spoke words that Jeremy would always say to me and I just felt sadness and betrayal overcome me.

I put my face into my hands and just started to cry. My tears continued to fall and as I continued to cry my breaths got shorter and my cries got louder.

"It'll be okay, you wouldn't have met him if he were real anyways, remember? You're in a basement with me right now." He laughed, but I just continued to cry, I felt so hopeless.

He stood up and walked up the stairs and out of the basement, he shut and locked the doors behind him and the room was filled with darkness.

I continued to sit there and cry because that's all I had left to do. I had hope my mom will notice I'm gone, she calls everyday, there's no way she wouldn't realize somethings wrong. Even Ella should notice, she usually calls me every other day.
