The moment you said your first "no"
Was when I finally let you go
I felt time was so not right before
I honestly tried to cross the line
Though knowing you'll never catch me when I fall right in front of your eyes
I turned around so suddenly
Letting my thoughts rest over someone for years I'd never meant to be
All this time, I was out of tune
I played my world with the wrong choice of chords
That it sounds so harsh on ears
Like how broke my feeling is
Whiskey in front of me I coudn't drink
Too tired... too weak
I found myself going back
Back to you again
You never change since then
You still got those sweetest smile
Those eyes like stars that forever will shine
You're still my home
A home I couldn't own
Time moved like a heartbeat
I asked, "I keep writing poems for you... but would you read it?"
I wait for return but you didn't
Atleast we talked like teenagers
On the phone and it's 2am none of us cared
And me silently hoping,
Whispering
That you'll be my first right choice
Though I might not be yours
Before I thought our song is close to the end of every tragic movie
For all time I asked, "Can there be us?"
I thought you'll dudge again but finally you said "Yes!"
To tell you, my world was as dark as your eyes
It suddenly changed and now showered with victorious lights.
