Vii POV:
When the last bell rang I scrambled to grab all my things before rushing out the door. I had lots of ideas of what I should do to get ready for the sports festival, plus, I get to see Ringo again in two days. I think I know how to help him. He needs a friend to make him feel better and show him that not all people are bad. I’ll introduce him to Dotty, a 14.2 hand POA mare.(A/N POA means Pony of America. They are appaloosa ponies and are fairly tall for pony standards) I just hope they get along.
Once again, I almost missed my house because I was so lost in my own world. Sighing heavily, I entered my dark and musty house that for some reason, reeked of formaldehyde. Dad must be doing another one of his experiments. I want to know what he’s up to but I don't want any more trauma. I shook my head and trudged up the large wooden stairs to my bedroom.
I set down my bag and changed into some workout clothes. Nothing fancy, just an old black tee shirt, some shorts and blue tennis shoes. I put my hair in a ponytail and went to the backyard.
It’s not the prettiest yard ever. We have a pile of wood and some overgrown blueberry ‘trees.’ The grass has a lot of thatch and was dead in some spots. Still, it’s large and pretty good for training just as long as I don’t set anything on fire.
I walked to the middle of the yard and stood facing the setting sun. A slight breeze ruffled through my ombre locks. I inhaled slowly and took a minute just to stretch and relax. When I felt ready, I made a large butterfly out of fire. I held the shape of the butterfly with my left hand and used my right hand to create thin but strong sodium threads that I could use to control the butterfly like a puppet. It was fairly simple but took a bit of time. Whatever, I’ll get better.

I spent the next three hours creating and controlling different fire creatures and discovering all that I could do with each one. By the end of my training, I had three favourites: a phoenix for aerial strikes, a wolf for ground attacks and a horse just because it looked like a Pokemon called Ponyta. I was satisfied with the progress I’d made so I went inside to get ready for bed. I had to stop and get some electrolytes though, just to help with my imbalance.
I quietly walked past my dad’s workspace, glass of electrolytes in hand. I nearly dropped it though…
There was an eerie green light shining through the cracks of the door. My dad’s work had been strange before but I’d never seen anything like this. The smell of formaldehyde was stronger here as well. Everything in that room seemed to be calling out to me, almost as if someone or something needed my help. The cold light had me drawn to it like a moth to a flame. I had to know what it was. Slowly, I reached out a shaky hand and placed it on the doorknob. I was so infatuated by the green light that I didn’t hear my father’s footsteps…
Hitachi POV: I’d acquired some very promising specimens for a certain project that I was working on for my boss. I had to keep Vii away from it though, I can’t have her finding out what I’m up to and calling the cops on me. She’s my experiment but also my daughter. I don’t think she’d take it well if she found out I had the bodies of five pro heros that I was extracting quirks from. I have to keep her away from it all and...what’s that girl doing?!? I saw Vii twisting the doorknob to my lab. This could be problematic. I raced down the hall and grabbed my daughter firmly by the arm. I used my momentum to swing her away from the door and into the wall. Crisis averted.
Vii POV:
I came back to reality when my back collided with the wall, knocking the wind out of me and spilling my drink. I looked up and saw my dad towering over me, his blue-black hair tousled and windblown. I was afraid to say the least. I looked into his coal black eyes and saw nothing.
No emotion.
No anger.
Nothing.
Scary…
He looked down at me then entered his lab, careful to keep me from seeing what was inside. I got up and went to the kitchen to get a rag and more electrolytes. I cleaned up my mess and went to my bedroom.
I sat thinking for a moment. I saw no emotion in my dad’s eyes, strange. Why wasn’t he angry? Makes me wonder what my emotional status is. In the past week I’ve felt anger, sadness and possible joy as well as supsition. Am I getting my emotions back? No I can’t be, I’m doomed to always be in the dark. Right?
I was tired, “I think I’ll just sleep on it,” I quietly mumbled to myself. I closed my eyes and fell asleep only to be woken up by the sound of my phone buzzing. I groaned and reached over to the stupid thing. I assumed it was just a robo call and was gonna hang up until I saw the caller ID.
‘cOlD hOt cHoCoLaTeZ.’ Ah yes, Todoroki. “Hello?” God I sound dead.
“Hey Vii.”
“Sup Todoroki?”
“Nothing, I just wanted to ask if you wanted to come train at my place tomorrow?”
“Sure, why not.”
“Cool, does 10:30-3 work?”
“Probably, if anything comes up I’ll let you know.”
“That works, see you then. I’ll text you my address in a sec.”
“Ok, bye.”
“Bye.” It only took about 25 seconds to get a text from this child. Xxx west street lane, Musutafu Japan. That’s not too far. I guess I’ll see him then. Now, I can finally get some sleep.
Brain: Heey.
Inner Vii: Nope not today.
Brain: Fiiiiiiiiiine.
