Vii POV:

Earlier that night...

I was taken to the police station and asked several questions.

Officer: ‘Where you aware of what your father was doing?’

Vii: ‘Kind of, I knew that he was researching quirks and he’d experimented on me in the past but I was too scared to say anything.’

Officer: ‘What experiments did he perform in you?’

Vii: ‘I don’t know the details but he found a way to give me two quirks as I was born quirkless. He also tested my physical limits by working me to exhaustion fairly often. He’s been doing this since I was four.’

Officer: ‘Did you want a quirk?’ He had a slightly accusing tone as if he was blaming me for everything that had happened tonight.

Vii: ‘No, I never wanted any of this to happen…’

Officer: ‘Ok, well I’ll leave you with our social worker, please follow me.’

(A/N time has now caught up to where we left off)

I said nothing and quietly followed the officer to another room. The walls where painted green and there was a fern in the corner. In the center of the room, there where two chairs facing a lady behind a desk. She had ginger hair and cerulean eyes filled with sympathy. “Hello Vii, My name Akako Tanaka but you can call me Ms.T.” I nodded and didn’t say anything. “ Ok Vii I have a few questions for you and please answer honestly. What did your dad do exactly to give you a quirk?”

“Well…”

Todoroki POV:

I had finally finished my training and was bruised to the bone. I was angry and just wanted to get away from my dad. I trudged up the stairs to my room to get ready for bed. I took a shower and let the warm water wash over my sore body.

When I was finished, I dried off and wrapped a fluffy white towel around my waist. I stood still for a moment looking at my reflection in the mirror. My upper torso was covered in large black bruises, most of them on or near my rib cage. What was I expecting from my old man anyway?

Sighing, I left my adjoining bathroom and walked back into my room. I threw on a white tee shirt and black sweatpants before flopping down on my bed. I turned on my phone and saw a notification from the local news and was immediately concerned…

Hitachi Aikio Arrested for Human Experimentation and Abduction of Five Heros.

Aikio, that’s Vii’s last name, this can’t be her dad can it? I needed answers and decided to read on before I call Vii.

This morning, five pro heros were reported missing. All of them have just now been found dead at the Aikio household.
Hitachi Aikio, age 47 was reported to authorities earlier this evening by his only daughter Vii Aikio. She hasn’t given any commentary other than a phone call made to emergency services and a few answers given in police questioning, confirming that she was one of his experiments and has been since age four. The information she gave lead authorities  doing a complete search of their house. Papers with diagrams and notes have led us to believe that this man may have been working with the league of villains, unknown to his daughter. We are unsure what will happen to Vii and her father next. More details to come.

I was shocked, I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Vii, why didn’t you say anything…

I sat On my bed shaking as beads of cold sweat ran down my face. My stomach was churning so violently I thought I was going to be sick. Why was I so worried? What’s Vii to me anyway? I think she’s my best friend or is she more to me?I can’t think about this right now, I need to make sure Vii’s ok. I opened my contacts and selected Vii's. The room went quiet at the ringing of my phone seemed to cancel out everything else.

One ring, two, three…

 Vii POV:

I told Mr.T all that I knew about how I got my quirks as well as basically my life story. I didn’t want to but I knew I had to. She sat silently the whole time, occasionally taking notes. I finished speaking and waited for Ms.T to voice her thoughts or some kind of solution. She opened her mouth and my phone started ringing, very loudly. She chuckled a bit and told me to answer it. I looked at the caller ID and immediately felt a tad better.

“Hello…”

“VII I SAW THE NEWS ARE YOU OK, WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME HE WAS HURTING YOU?!?” This child was screaming so loudly that I was sure Ms.T could hear him. I looked up at her and judging by her face, she clearly could. Her eyes were wide and she had a shocked look on her face.

“I’m sorry Todoroki, I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to burden you with my problems. I could tell that you’re already in a tough spot and I want to support you even if you won’t tell me what’s wrong. And to answer your question, I don’t know if I’m ok.I’m really sorry but I’m going to have to call you back. I’m with a social worker right now  and we are trying to figure out where I’m going to stay, I have no one and I’m not sure I want to go into foster care.”

“Vii, you’re not alone, you have me. If needed, you can stay with me. I’ll just have to convince my dad to let you stay, or you know, ignore him completely.”

“Thanks but I don’t want you to get in trou-”

“I don’t care, you’re my best friend and I just want to help you!”

“Ok. I’ll talk to the social worker about it. Thank you, Todoroki, どうもありがとうございました!” (A/N, means thank you very much in Japanese)

“No problem, I’ll call you again later ok?”

“Ok, bye Todoroki.”

“Bye…”

I hung up and returned my attention to Ms.T, who for some reason had a large smirk on her face and slightly raised eyebrows. I brushed it off as Ms.T cleared her throat. “Ok, now we can move on to figuring out where you are gonna live. Do you have any family members who might be able to take care of you?”

“No, the only person I have left now is my grandma but she’s blind and lives in a retirement home.”

“Ok, well I’ll start looking for a suitable foster family and-”

“Um, sorry to-to interrupt but my friend offered to have me stay with them, would that be ok?”

“Who’s your friend?”

“The one who just called, Todoroki Shoto.”

“Endeavours’ kid?”

“...yeah..”

“Hmm...well I’ll contact him and see what I can do. In the meantime, would you mind waiting outside?”

“Not at all.” I got up  and silently walked out of the room. I sat in one of the chairs in the hallway, not really knowing what to do. I should text Todoroki again...
