A/N I know it's been a while but I finally have motivation to write again so I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things! Also HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TODOROKI!
No one’s POV:
Todoroki Froze. “How did you know that something was bothering me?”
All might chuckled darkly as he set down his cup, “Well dear boy Vii came home rather upset, and here you show up clearly looking for her...To apologize perhaps?” Todoroki was stunned at how perceptive and fatherly the symbol of peace was. Vii had only been in his life for a short while and yet it already seemed that he could read her body language as well as a mother could read a child whom she was terribly close with. Body language was something that Allmight had learned to read in all his years working as a hero. His empathy is part of what makes him the best.
Though even the world’s beacon has his limits because, even though it seemed that he knew how to read Vii, he actually was about as clueless to reading the girl as someone who had never spoken to her as she kept her soul under lock and key, her emotions a guarded prison with limited breaches in security. If anything, Toshinori’s questioning of Todoroki was out of desperation to try to find a way to help Vii.

Vii shot up in a cold sweat, tears stinging her eyes as she gasped for breath-trying to recover after being trapped in memories. “Water, I need water,” she crooked out. Vii stood up and struggled to gain her balance, still shaken up from her dream. Slowly pushing the door open Vii began her journey to the kitchen. It was dark out and rather late so Vii assumed that she wouldn’t run into her guardian, Mr.Toshinori Yagi and that she wouldn’t be questioned as to why she was up at such an ungodly hour. Her assumptions were incorrect.
As she neared the end of the hallway a light in the living room-as well as some dull and conversation caught her attention. “-Then she slapped me and ran off, I tried to follow her but lost track of her and haven’t seen Vii since.”
‘Todoroki? Why is he here?’
A booming voice snapped Vii out of her trance, “So you made Vii upset because you were angry and taking your feelings out on her AND young Midoriya, the Vii ran slapped you and ran off to lord knows where? Am I missing anything Todorki?” Toshinori’s voice was calm yet loud and it was clear how angry he was.
Todoroki’s voice quivered as he spoke “No sir, that basically summarizes what happened.”
“Well Todoroki, I think what needs to happen is for you both to apologize to each other. Come on out Vii, I know you’re there.” Vii froze. She was positive that she had made a sound so how on earth did her guardian know she was eavesdropping? “Vii, now.” Reluctantly Vii turned the corner and entered the living room. She kept her face blank as she made eye contact with her so-called friend.
“Well, what do you want me to do,” Vii snapped, fixing her gaze on her guardian. SHe knew that he wanted her to apologize to Todoroki but with her current attitude she felt no remorse for slapping the boy, whose face was bruised from the harsh blow she landed on his porcelain flesh. “I’m not going to apologize when I’m not sorry for what I did because that’s empty and means nothing. I don’t feel bad and I’m not going to sugar coat anything in lies and false apologizes.”
Todoroki signed heavily, setting down his half-empty tea cup. “That’s fair but you don’t owe me an apology, I’m in the wrong here. What I said was cruel and completely out of line. I’m sorry Vii and I don’t expect you to forgive me. I just want you to know-” He stood up, walking over to Vii and taking her hand in his. “How bad I feel about what I did,” he continued, pulling her into a firm yet awkward embrace. “I’m sorry…”
It made Vii’s blood boil to see her ‘friend’ in such a pathetic state, begging her for forgiveness. Did he really think that some empty words and a half-hearted hug would be enough to win her over? That she’d come crawling back to him, saying how sorry she also was? As upset as that concept made her, Vii kept herself in check, not responding until Toshinori spoke. “Vii don’t you have something to say to Todoroki as well?” She paused before pulling away from Todoroki’s hug. What did she want to say, did she have anything to say?
“Listen, I am willing to forgive you in time but know that actions speak louder than words and I’m not going to apologize-”
“VII!” Toshinori cut in.
“Let. Me. Finish.” Practically spitting in his face, Vii’s voice carried strength and authority that was honestly intimidating. “As I was saying, I’m not going to apologize for something I’m not sorry for. I don’t care if I hurt you because you deserved that slap and my cruel words. Think about that, both of you just in case you would like to be jerks in the future.”
The room went silent, neither Todoroki nor the symbol of peace dared to challenge the crushing, yet beautifully and brutally honest words of the girl who stood before them. IN fact, she didn’t even seem like a human female but rather a giant, a goddess whose word was law. It’s rare to see a person who had been alienated by society speak with such power and dominance...Her words drew them in and trapped them like wasps to a bottle of honey. No matter how badly they wanted to tune her out they could not because her message was true-yet forein to civilization. Apologizes should not be given out like tissues and they knew that but it felt so weird to not get one after all that had happened, even if Vii wasn’t sorry. Redemption would take some time...
