Todoroki POV:
“Shoto…” Oh boy, what’s he going to say? “As heartwarming as your little speech was, my answer for now is no.”
I was shocked, I knew my father could be cold but this was a new low, even though I was kind of expecting it. “But-”
“Hear me out boy! If she places in the top three at the sports festival l will offer her an internship at my agency. IF she accepts I’m pleased with her work, then I suppose that she could perhaps stay for a bit.”
My eyes widened at this news and I subconsciously started grinning. Sure, there are a few conditions but he’s willing to let her stay!
“R-really? Thank you father!” I gave him a quick bow before I left the room.
‘I have to tell Vii the good news!’
As I made my way down the hall, that was my only thought until I picked up my phone. Reality dawned on me as I realized that Vii won’t have anywhere to go until after the sports festival…
Enji POV:
I made my decision and I already know that I’m going to turn this girl down. She’s in the hero course so she’s perfectly capable of figuring out her own life, it’s not my problem. Besides, she was born quirkless and is therefore beneath Shoto. Someone of such high potential should NOT be mixing in with the likes of someone as pathetic as this ‘Vii Aikio.’ Still, I am a man of my word so of course I’ll offer her an internship if she places high enough. If all goes well, in the end I’ll be able to use this girl to help me help Shoto use the entirety of his quirk. Stubborn boy refusing to use his fire! Bahh,in time he’ll realize that he’s only holding himself back.
Vii POV:
I remained seated outside Ms Tanaka’s office, thinking. Thinking about my dad, Todoroki, my mom, my past and everything that had happened tonight. It’s nearly 2 am, Ms T is still on the phone and Todoroki is probably asleep. I myself am starting to get a little drowsy, the adrenaline for tonight is wearing off and everything is catching up to me. I might as well close my eyes, just for a bit…
*Dream*
I was walking down a cold, musty stone corridor filled with the sound of quiet moans. As I walked I passed several cells. Some held corpses, others held prisoners who were basically skin and bone, husks of what we would call ‘human.’ They were the ones crying out. As terrifying and pitiful as their moans of agony were, I kept walking until I reached the very last cell at the end of the hall…
It was inhabited by my father who still looked human except for one thing, his eyes. They were dull and completely lifeless, holding no emotion whatsoever.
Nothing was said between us, we just started at each other as the cries of the other inmates grew louder and louder. What started out as quiet moans soon turned into a chorus of blood curdling shrieks. Still not a sound came from the man in front of me. He smiled at me, then his flesh began to fall off in chunks leaving nothing but bones.
“Father!” I reached out towards him to touch him one last time. Alas, I was too slow. My father’s remains crumbled to dust before me. A gust of wind came and blew them away as silence engulfed the prison once more.
*Dream end*
Ms. Tanaka POV:
I was on hold with Endeavour for about eight minutes before he finally spoke to me again. “Alright I’ve made a decision, I will take Vii in as an intern after the sports festival if she places in the top three. If I’m satisfied with her work, I suppose she can stay at the Todoroki residence. That’s my deal, take it or leave it.”
I thought for a minute, I need a back up plan in case Mr. Todoroki turns the poor girl down. I could contact U-A and have her stay with one of the teachers in the meantime, and if worst comes to worst, she’ll stay with me.
“Ok...Sir.”
“Glade we’re on the same page, now that's taken care of, if there is nothing more to discuss then I’ll be hanging up.”
“Right, yes goodbye sir.”
*click* Well ok then, time to contact U-A…

Vii POV:
I opened my eyes to the sound of my phone buzzing. For some reason everything was blurry. I reached up to my face only to find tears streaming down my cheeks. ‘It was just a dream,’ I reminded myself. I took a minute to compose myself before reaching to my phone to read the message that I’d received.
It was from Todoroki, roughly two hours after our last talk. ‘Why is he still awake?’ Shrugging slightly I opened the message, it read:
“Dear Vii, I have news about whether or not you can stay. My dad said that if you place in the top three at the upcoming sports festival, he will offer you an internship at his agency. If he’s impressed with your work then he’ll allow you to stay. I’m so sorry for all the conditions he has and I’m wondering what will happen to you in the meantime. Please text back when you have an answer.

A/N Ok so I'm going to go back to my original posting scheduel just so I don't rush myself. Also I note that each chapter will be between 800-1800 words. Also I am aware that this current arch has been dragging on for a while so I will try and wrap it up within the next three chapters. Heh anyway peace crumbies UwU.
