'Where are we going?' I ask Jay, for the fifth time since getting in the car

'It's a surprise, now shut up!' he says, finally getting frustrated, I smirk and lean back in the chair, he sighs in relief thinking I have finally shut up.

'Jay, where are we going?' I ask using mind link, he growls and pinches me, I scream and glare at him

'Mature! Real freaking mature!' I snap and he laughs and focuses back on driving

'Here, finally' Jay gets out of the car and I open my door and step out.

I make sure my skirt is fine and my blouse. I am wearing a white blouse with small ruffles tucked into a black pencil skirt that kits mid-thigh and black flats with my hair in its natural wave. We head inside the nice but not too fancy restraint and wait to be seated, a guy maybe two years older than me walks up to us and takes us to our table.

I hear laughing and Jay and I look up in time to see Daniel walk in with the same group of friends he was with today, just without the small brunette. They sit down a table away with Daniel sitting the closest to me, Jay stiffens and his eyes flash and I notice the thunderous expression on his face. Daniel stiffens and turns to look at me and a weird expression comes over his face as he stares at me and what I was wearing, I glare at him and turn away.

‘You OK?’ Jay asks and an idea pops into my head, I can tell Daniel is listening so I just pretend I still can’t talk.

Jay, play along. I am pretending I still can’t talk

Jay frowns, then understanding flickers in his eyes and he nods an OK. We scroll through the menu in silence and wait for the waiter to come back. Daniel’s group was loud and constantly laughing and I could feel him looking at me every now and then, but I didn’t turn around at all, I don’t want to look at him.

‘Hey, you guys ready to order?’ We look up and nod at the same guy who seated us. I notice he isn’t looking at my face, but my chest, EW!

‘Yeah I’ll have the pot roast, with extra meat’ Jay says in a bored tone, not even bothering to look at the guy, which is a good thing because, if he saw what the guy was doing he would have punched him, or worse…

‘OK, and for you?’ he asks me and I smile slightly when I hear a growl come from Daniel’s table and I know who it was.

‘Um… I’ll have the spaghetti thankyou with cheese, please’ I smile sweetly and I hear a gasp come from their table.

‘Sure thing’ he winks at me and I blush as he walks off.

‘So I take it you are dropping the game?’ my brother smirks and I nod and smile

‘Yeah, can’t be bothered anymore’ I smirk and he laughs and shakes his head.

We talk about my brother’s work and I tell him about school, then we fall into a silence.
