‘Are you sure I look OK?’ I fidget with my light blue summer dress

‘You look beautiful’ Daniel assures me, he swaps Connor to his other arm and takes my hand, as we walk up to my uncles pack house

Hopefully there are no wolves around, Connor is a human baby and I don’t want him to be scared. Daniel and I decided to let Connor grow up around werewolves and know about us, after all his parents are werewolves. I knock on the door and take a shaky step back and suddenly regret wearing white wedges, instead of flats. The door opens and a beautiful lady around late forties beams at us

‘Hi! You must be Annabelle, I am so glad to finally meet you! I am Maryanne, your aunty’ the lady says and her eyes slightly fill with tears

‘Hello, this is my son Connor and my mate Daniel’ I say and she smiles and wipes away a tear

‘Wow, you have grown up’ she says and lets us into the house

‘Annabelle!’ I turn and see Tim and his mate standing there smiling at us

‘Hey’ I say and wave at them as they walk over to us

‘Aw hello cutie’ the girl cooees

‘Taylah, give the baby and its mum some space’ Tim chuckles

‘No it’s fine, Connor likes the attention’ I say and Taylah grins at me

‘He is going to be one spoilt kid’ Daniel laughs and kisses the top of Connor’s head.

I hear laughter and lots of voices and I instantly bring Connor close to me. Xavier explained why I cared for Connor so much when I first met him; it was because of the Alpha female in me. I naturally have the motherly instincts and I will automatically look after my pack and the children.

‘I hope you don’t mind, we are having a pack BBQ today’ Tim smiles and I just smile back

‘Come on, let’s go meet my husband and other two sons’ We all head outside and a lot of people stop and stare at us and I can feel Daniel starting to get annoyed.

‘Richard’ The lady says and kisses a man on the cheek, when he turns around I freeze

He looks just like my mum, but in a man version and it makes tears fill my eyes. He stares at me in shock and I see tears fill his own eyes, I hand Connor to Daniel and run to my uncle, he opens his arms and I hug him tight as he hugs me back.

‘Oh my, you look just like her’ he whispers and pulls back to look at me

‘So do you, just in a man way’ I laugh and wipe some tears away

‘And who are these gentlemen?’ he says gesturing to my son and Daniel

I take a step back and Daniel wraps his arm around my waist and hands me back Connor, I smile and he kisses my forehead and we turn back to my uncle

‘This is my son Connor and my mate Daniel’ I say and Richard stares at us in shock

‘Aren’t you a bit young?’ he says shocked
