Chapter Nine, Part 2:

Dylan's POV:        

I freeze when the paramedic tells me that Annabelle is dead, she can't be dead! I love her to much! She is the sister I never had. Tears stream down my face as I hear them call her brother and lift her up onto a stretcher and into the back of the ambulance. I follow feeling numb and in shock, she can't be dead, just ten minutes ago we were smiling and laughing and now she is gone....

'ANNABELLE! I WANT MY SISTER! WHERE IS SHE?' I hear Jay yelling, he must have used his werewolf speed. He has fear in his eyes and I realise he has already lost everyone now he has lost his little sister as well, and all of them have died from car accidents.

He stops and stares down at Annabelle and the tears pour from his eyes as he stares down at his pale lifeless sister, he grabs her hand and sobs loudly.

'Oh Annabelle, I am so sorry, please come back, I’ll be a better brother just don’t leave me, please, I need you' he sobs and I feel my heart breaking

The ambulance starts and we head down the road with the sirens blaring and the paramedics telling Jay to calm down, but all I can do is stare numbly at Annabelle, all of a sudden there is a beep, then another followed by another and I hear a scream and I look up and see a lady in the car yelling something to the paramedic next to me.

'She is alive! But how?!' The lady yells and all of a sudden we are speeding faster down the road, I am pushed back and there is an oxygen mask attached to her face and they are jabbing a needle into her arm.

'Alive? She is alive?!' Jay says in shock and the tears stop as he stares at his now breathing sister lying in front of us.

We reach the hospital and everyone jumps out and runs Annabelle inside as Jay and I follow, he runs ahead with his sister while I just stand there at the entrance, she is OK, Annabelle is OK! I head inside and wait in the waiting area until I see Jay walking towards me, he sits down and we fall into an uncomfortable silence.

'What happened?' Jay finally asks

'She was running across the road and a guy hit her' I say and I see him tense up, poor guy, he lost his parents to a car accident now he almost lost his sister to one as well

'I never got to apologise to her, I never got to tell her I love her and I lost her' he says and puts his head in his hands

'Jay she is alive, when she wakes up you can tell her, you have to think positive' I say, but even I can't find hope in my words.

'But she died, Dylan, she died and I wasn't there, I could have helped her' He says and tears fall down his face

We fall back into an uncomfortable silence for another hour, until a doctor walks out, he walks with confidence and years of training but his face is blank of emotions, like he has seen one to many deaths to be affected, he probably has.
