"a female lead? cool!"
I turned to see our band manager who was nodding his head, "like I said, these days bands with a male and female lead would gain so much popularity"
"and you expected us to find one before we released the new album?" I asked.
"yes, is there anyone particular in mind?"
All of us looks at each other. As I expected, we don't have that many girl-friends. The only girls that came to my mind were Ryujin and Yeji. Though ever since Ryujin got to be a trainee at a huge music company I don't think she'll have the time to even rehearse with us. And Yeji? she actually could though, she has that unique voice when she sings. But heck, I wouldn't even imagine her singing a breakup song that has something to do with her.
yes, I'm an emo guy and writing songs about my girl and breakups are my thing. deal with it.
"Beomgyu shut up" I snapped when my thoughts were distracted by an annoying slurp sound coming from none other than the coke-addict.
He immediately stopped, "I was just drinking" he mumbles. I roll my eyes.
Our manager might've realized the looks on our faces when he sighs, "or maybe you guys could hold up an audition at school-"
"no fucking wa-ow!" Kai, who is our drummer, shrieked and later earning a smack from the kid beside him, "what was that for?" He shrieked while rubbing the back of his head.
"language" Taehyun answers.
Kai rolled his eyes, "anyway, it's gonna be huge chaos if we hold up an open audition at school. Do you even remember the last time we hold a small fan meeting?"
"those sasaengs..." Beomgyu, the coke addict a.k.a our lead guitarist, shook his head while his eyes looks terrified, "I'm still traumatized by the way they tried to rip my shirt off" thinking back about that time where a fan literally grabs Beomgyu off the stage. If it weren't for the bodyguard that were there just incase something happens, we wouldn't be alive right now.
"yeah. we can't even practice in peace at school" Taehyun, our keyboardist, added, "how the hell do you think we're gonna held an open audition?"
Our manager throw his hands up, "okay okay, calm down, you didn't let me finish" he said in a calm tone, "as I was saying, you can hold up an audition at school with the help of the choir team"
I raised an eyebrow, "how?"
He shrug, "well, remember when you told me that your school held up auditions for the choir in every new semester?" I nodded, "maybe you can offer yourself to be one of the judges. That way you can see who's got the potential to be the female lead, then you can just ask her in private." he said, directly to me.
