ding dong.
As soon as I heard the door bells, I put aside my guitar and walked to the door, only to find a bag of bakery and a bubble tea shoved in front of my face.
I leaned on the door framed. The corner of my lips lifted a little seeing how cute the figure is, trying to surprise me on this sunday morning. Even though we know this is our tradition every sunday.
"croissants?" she then peaks from behind the bag and smiles like the sunshine she is.
I can't help but to stare at her. I always love her smile. Sometimes I always had the thought of what's it like to wake up beside her and seeing her smile first thing in the morning. But to be honest, I wasn't sure what I was feeling right now.
I titled my head, gesturing her to come inside while I widen the door to let her in.
Once we're inside, I feel like there's this huge lump on my throat. Will I be able to say it today?
She sat there on the sofa in my living room and I sat on the other side. She took the croissants out of the bag and took a small bite out of it while putting aside the other one for me.
"what?" I didn't realize that I stared at her for quite a while.
I shook my head and smiled a little, "nothing" then there goes that huge lump on my throat again.
"you're writting songs again?" she asked when her eyes landed on my guitar and the papers that were scattered on the floor.
"yeah" I scratch my neck. It's been a while since I last wrote one.
"hmm, what's it called?" she took another bite.
I hesitate a little, "I'm... not sure"
"well, what's it about?"
I shook my head, "nothing. just something stupid."
She scrunched her nose, "oh come on! you always say that but then the songs turns out to be amazing than ever!" I smiled a little. She must've thought that because I always wrote her songs back then. Yeah back then. When I was so damn clueless.
"just let me hear it. juseyo?" she put both of her hands in front of her face, pouting a little. how could I say no to that face?
I sigh a little while looking up to meet her hazel eyes. I got up and took the guitar in my hand which makes her giddy. My fingers starting to strum the guitar, playing the first part that I finish.
