Hermione's POV

Hmm...where was I? I couldn't open my eyes. I breathed in. The room smelled...clean. I tried to move. Pain shot through my head and the memories of the night before came crashing down on me like a tidal wave.

Draco had hurt me.

He clearly couldn't be trusted. My eyes opened suddenly, and I saw the worst possible things looking over me.
Malfoy.
I almost jumped at the sight of him and I let out a tiny scream.
"Mione! It's ok! You'll be ok don't worry!" He said, and he walked closer. I leaned back. No one was in the room besides him and I. I was alone with him. He could hurt me again, I was scared. Malfoy hadn't changed.
"Le-leave me alone, Malfoy," I said. He almost looked hurt.
"Hermione, Goyle was using the imperious curse on me, I would never hurt you," Draco looked down at me.
"Ok, I get it," I said. I did get it. But I was afraid of him. He had scared me and Astoria, and almost killed me.
"I'll leave you alone now," Draco said and he walked out of the room.
I watched carefully as he left the room. Fear was still beating in my chest, and I couldn't let it go.

Draco's POV

She called me Malfoy. I needed to sit down. I stormed back into the Sytherin common room and slammed everything around on my way. Goyle. It was all his fault, the git.
I was surprised to see everyone sitting around a small table in the corner. And by everyone I mean my friends minus Hermione.
"What's going on here?" I whisper to Harry as I try to shove my way in.
"Ron and Blaise are in a serious chess game, Ron's winning," he explains.
I open my mouth to comment but I was cut off my Blaise growing and the crowd laughing.
"Beat me again!" He howled.
I couldn't help but smile. Blaise was always terrible at chess.
Out of the corner if my eye I saw Astoria sneaking away.
"Astoria! Wait!" I grabbed her had as she tried to head out of the room.
"I just need to go-" she stopped and kind of backed away from me.
"Astoria, I told you, I was under -"
"The imperious curse I know, I'm going to see Hermione," she fled before I could say more. Hmp.
"Anyone else want to try to beat the king?" Ron yelled triumphantly.
I chuckled and sat down at the table.
"White goes first," I said, and moved my pawn.
