Ch. 37: Happily Ever After

2 days later...

Soda's POV:

Steve and I are officially married! I'm so happy! I feel so lucky to have him by my side!

We're currently on our honeymoon in Corpus Christi, Texas, and it was a long drive, but we're lucky we arrived without any problems. We left Natalie with Darry and Ponyboy so we can spend time alone together. They were okay with it since they love her so much. We're on the beach hanging out looking at the sunset.

"The sky is so beautiful." Steve says.

"Not as beautiful as you." I say wrapping an arm around him. I can see him blushing.

We watch the sunset for a while, and the air starts getting cooler. Steve starts shivering, and I wrap a blanket I brought around us. Steve snuggles against me and I wrap my arms around him. I can feel Steve smiling.

"I'm so happy we're together. I can't imagine being with another person," I say, "you make me so proud to be alive."

Steve smiles up at me and we start kissing. We continue to watch the sunset until it got dark. I hope we always stay together. I hope there's no obstacles that hit our path. Steve is forever mine.
