Megan POV
After being at granny's house all day being with my family, Amani, Tucker, Tony, the kids, and I went back home.
Tony and I took a shower and both went to bed. I couldn't sleep. Why? I'm thinking about having a baby. Like is that what I want to do?
Tony POV
I turn over and I see that Megan is still wide awake. She is very deep in thought.
Tony: Baby?
Megan: Oh babe. You scared me.
Tony: I'm sorry. Why are you still up?
Megan turns over and faces me.
Megan: I had been thinking about my conversation with granny.
Tony: What did you talk about?
Megan: She asked me when will we make her some great grand babies.
I'm shocked. Her grandmother has known her for like a few hours and this happens.
Tony: What?
Megan: I was shocked too. Let me ask you this, do want to have kids?
Tony: I honestly do. I want to be a dad.
Megan POV
That makes me smile that he wants to be a dad.
Tony: Like I want to be able to be that dad that takes his daughter shopping or that dad that takes his son to play football.
Hearing him say that warms me inside.
Megan: Awww. That's so cute.
Tony: How do you feel about it babe?
Megan: Honestly, I want to have kids one day. But don't you think that it's a little too early in our marriage to start a family?
Tony: That's a good question.
Tony thinks about my question.
Tony: Honestly Meg, I remember thinking about having kids when I saw how you were at St. Jude.
Megan: Oh I remember that.
Tony: You were amazing with those kids. Their faces lit up when they saw you.
Damn it. He has my uterus wiggling a bit.
Tony: I pictured in the back of my head how it would be when our child would be when they see you. Their face will light up like Christmas.
Makes me think of my dream I had about our child.
Megan: Granny told me this and told me never to forget it. She that the moment when the baby is given to me and is laying on my chest is the greatest moment in the world and I will forget all the worries about what I'm going face with the baby.
Tony: That's deep Meg.
Megan: It is. The real question is am I ready to be a mom?
Tony: It's going to be okay. You are going to be amazing. Plus, I'm going to be here with you every step.
Megan: Thanks Tony.
Tony: You're welcome. When the time comes to have a baby it's going to be fine. I promise.
That puts me at ease about us having a baby. Honestly I want to have one, but I'm not sure when.
Tony: One more thing, have you thought about what you plan to sing tomorrow?
I completely forgot about that. I have been so sidetracked with bonding with my family.
Megan: I haven't, but if they do let me sing I do have a song in mind.
Tony: Really? What?
Megan: It's one of the first songs I've ever learn to sing. I remember singing it with my mom.
Tony: Oh. What is it?
Megan: You'll see.
I give him a kiss and we fall asleep.
