Megan POV I'm a married woman. I'm officially Mrs. Megan Campbell-Carter. Everything has been amazing. We let People Magazine document some of our wedding and they did an incredible job. We released everything. The pictures and music wedding video one week after we got married. For our honeymoon Tony and I went to Italy. We stayed there for a week and we both didn't want to leave. We fly back to LA and it's time to get back to business. For now Tony and I are going to be living in my house. We talked before we got married about a house and we agreed that we are going to buy it and renovate it. I even asked him if he wanted to live with me till the house is finished. He said yeah. He knows I have bigger space than his house. So now, I'm on my way to the studio to discuss about my next move. I'm meeting with the Ethan Brant, CEO of Echo Music and Jane.
Ethan: Before we began, I want to congratulate you and Tony for getting married. I never got to tell you personally. Megan: Thank you so much sir. Ethan: So we are here to discuss what big plans you want to do because now that you are married we are willing to adjust and compromise. Jane: Your last two albums sold like crazy. Which is a good thing. Do you plan to make any music? Megan: I've thought about it a lot lately because now that I'm married I know that it's going to be a bit harder. I could do like some singles instead of another full album. Jane: That's not a bad idea. Ethan: I agree and I understand that you being married you don't want your work to overtake your marriage. Megan: Exactly. All I want is to enjoy this first phase of my marriage.
Jane and Ethan totally agree with me. Both of them are married. Ethan has 4 kids. Jane has 1 kid.
Jane: I want to know what did Tony say he's gonna do? Megan: He said that he's waiting on what I'm going to do so that we both can have a happy medium. So I'm sticking with doing a couple of singles here and there. Plus, if any artist wants me to be a feature on a song I'll do it. Jane: Great. I'll keep that in check. Ethan: Is there any projects you want to do? Megan: I'm actually doing something with my best friend Bailey. We are working on a fashion boutique.
I've had this one in mind for a long time. Bailey introduced me into the world of fashion when she first began her career in it. I've definitely learned a lot from her along the way and her dream is to open a fashion boutique. So I decided to help her out and make it into a reality.
Jane: That's awesome. Ethan: It really is. Megan: We are looking to open up this month. Jane: I can't wait.
The meeting goes really well and I come back home. Tony is in the home studio.
Tony: Hey Meg. How was the meeting? Megan: It was great. I've decided to do a few singles and do a feature with any artist that reaches out to me. Tony: Really? Megan: Yeah because we are married and we don't wanna overload ourselves and I want to enjoy this phase of our marriage. Tony: I totally agree. I'm gonna meet with Peyton tomorrow about what I wanna do. Megan: Great. Tony: Also, Bailey came by and said that this letter to you was in her mail.
He hands me the envelope. I thought that Bailey stopped getting mail with my name on it since I've moved out. I see it's from North Carolina.
Megan: Who in the world would send me a letter from North Carolina? Tony: Do you know anyone from there? Megan: Not that I know of.
I open it up and read the letter.

I'm confused.
Tony: What does the letter say? Megan: It seems like I have some family members that I don't know about. Tony: What?
I hand him to letter to read.
Tony: Holy shit. Megan: I know right. I keep thinking in my mind that this isn't real that it's a scam. Tony: Do you think it is? Megan: Only one way to find out.
I dial the number that Amani gave me. I go in the kitchen to talk to Amani.
Amani: Hello? Megan: Hi. Is this Amani? Amani: Yes. This is she. Megan: Oh great. Hi. This is Megan. You mailed a letter to me. Amani: Oh hi. How are you? Megan: I'm good. What about you? Amani: I'm doing good. I'm a big fan of yours. Megan: Thank you. Look...I...ummm....I wanted to ask you some questions about this letter you sent me. Amani: Go ahead. Megan: Ummmm....how exactly did you find out about me? Amani: Some guy who lives in Los Angeles reached out to me asking am I related to you. I said I'm not. He asked me if I was sure because he found some information about your parents and it led him to me.
I get worried because that can be anyone. Who can find more information about my parents?
Megan: Do you know exactly who the guy was? If you can. Amani: Well, I do remember him saying that he needs me to help him to prove that you and his son that you have your own family.
I immediately got a thought of who it could be.
Megan: Oh my God. Amani: What is it? You know him or something? Megan: Apparently I do because he's now my father-in-law. Amani: Girl. Megan: Haha. I know. My life has changed. Amani: Look, I want you to know that we ain't trying to trick you or anything. We had no idea that your mom, who is my aunt, had a kid. We barley know little to none about her. As for me personally, I would love to get to know you.
I can tell by her voice that she really means it.
Megan: You think so? Amani: Girl yes. I think we would love to meet you and your husband and get to know y'all. Megan: Okay. I'll see what we can do. Amani: Awesome. Talk to ya soon.
I hang up the phone and I feel kinda happy. I go back in the studio to tell Tony.
Tony: So, what happened? Megan: Seems like your father is a very slick man. Tony: Haha. What?
I explain everything to Tony what Amani told me.
Tony: Oh my God. So my dad basically wanted mess up our relationship by throwing in about your family that you never knew? Megan: Sounds about right.
Tony let's put a little laugh.
Tony: Oh my dad is a bitter old man. Megan: But he's still your father. Tony: I know. Megan: And besides Amani sounds really nice. I may sound crazy, but I actually want to go to North Carolina to see who my family is. Tony: It don't sound crazy baby. Plus, I would love to meet them too. They are my in-laws as well.
We both laughed.
Tony: I'll find us a flight to North Carolina and we'll go. Megan: Awesome. Tomorrow I'll go to Laura and Matt's house to get some things that I can bring to show to them of my mom and dad. Tony: They would love that.
I honestly can't wait for this. After all of these years, I finally know my family.
