Tony pov.

When we got to the tower we were thankfully only five minutes late. The gathering was of course set in the park right across from the tower so that the reporter's can get the best view. The buzz of the crowd made me nervous but i tried my best not show it on my face. Natasha and Bucky quickly adjusted parts of my clothes or fix my hair.

"Your going to do great Honey." Natasha said sweetly trying to lighten the mood. I only nodded at her comment as Bucky continued to fix my hair. Natasha decided that she wanted to go on stage before me which i didn't protest to. When she stood at the podium the buzz of the crowd stopped.

"Good afternoon." She said coldly getting quick replies from all of the reporters. "It is good to see all of the reporters in one area mostly so i could know who to offend when it comes down to spreading false rumors." Nat said glaring at the famous red head who stood in the middle of the crowd. Natasha then cleared her throat.

"When Tony is talking you all will be quiet and stay quiet, unless he signals that he is done or wants you all react to a sentence then you all will speak." She then sighed. "And yes Tony will be answering questions after this. So if Bucky or I find that the questions is to personal or mean we will not be afraid to pull Tony off of the stage and tell that person off. Do you all understand me?" She asked with poison lingering in her voice.

Thankfully the press is really scared of Black Widow because I'm not sure how i would have contained them. After all of the press agreed and big smile formed on Nat's face like she never even voiced her opinion. "Alrighty then, give it up for Tony Stark!" She announced into the mic, as the reporters clapped. As she walked off the stage i walked on. I sported a smile. Is it a fake smile? Yes, but this is the smile i always give them they wont really notice the difference. Not to long after i reached the podium the clapping stopped and everyone tuned in for what i was about.

"Hello to all." I said getting scattered greetings back from the crowd. "I know that you all haven't seen me in a while, i believe its been a month now." I then let out a small chuckle. "I am here to disclose some false rumors and i will do that quickly because after this i have an announcement." I then heard some scattered gasps from the crowd.

"So it was brought to my attention that one of the rumors that was going around was that I would be retiring from being Iron Man. I can tell you that that is obviously not true." I can see reporters perk up with the sound of that. I knew that with this rumor everyone was sad about it, so giving it some clarity tells everyone that there is no need to worry.

"The second one that was brought to my attention was that i am having an affair. This one i really don't understand where it came from. I mean yes everyone knows me as the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist and what not. But since i became married- well not even married. When Steve proposed to me, that playboy title fell. So no I am not having a affair." As the reporters mumble their remarks i ignored them.

"And the thing that bothered me the most about this whole ordeal is that someone who am not going to name... Yet... Said that you all knew that I am a horrible husband for America's Golden Boy despite Steve Rogers claims of love and happiness." I then scoffed.

"I mean wow, you stooped low, real low. And you may not take it from me but what Steve says about our marriage is true. It is filled with love, happiness, and so much more. I can admit that i could be a bad husband at times but so does Cap, and the whole team can agree on that." I announced trying to push back the memories of that terrifying day.

"So no Mary Jane, America's most cherished couple is not falling apart. And you need to keep you nose out of peoples business before you get hurt." Everyone eyes darted to the famous red head girl in the center who turned red as her lipstick shade. A contempt chuckle left my lips as the reporters attention diverted back to me.
