Tony pov

(2 weeks after the incident)

I overrode Friday's 'Protect Tony' Protocol. Even though i could put it on at will now, i do regret it. New York looks like a ghost town covered in red dust.

The busy city isn't highly as busy anymore. Everything got raided the first week, that included pharmacies, grocery stores, ATM's you name it. If you even try to go around New York in a car it immediately gets high jacked. I'm surprised no one even tried to break into The Avengers Tower, probably because everyone is mourning there death.

My family's Death. I tried to stay in the compound as long as i could, though there wasn't much food to begin with. 3 days ago i ran out fully. It's been 2 weeks since the Avengers so call died, no one has seen them since the day they left to deal with the incident.

I cried, for a week straight. Then i was forced to stop by Friday because she said that it was really starting to effect the babies. I opened my eyes to darkness as always. I quickly turned on the lamp and sat up with a sigh. I need to get to the Avengers Tower quickly so i could at least return to the compound before dark.

I swiftly showered and got ready before walking to the front area and sitting down on the couch. I then turned on the TV to the news to see whats going on outside before i go. "Gooooodd Morning New York!" The reporter exclaimed in an obvious fake cheery voice.

"It is quite cold today now that were in Autumn. Make sure to at least wear long sleeved clothes or bring a jacket." The lady said with a smile. "Today is the second week that marks the Avengers death. We haven't heard from Tony Stark so we can only hope he's ok." I only scoffed knowing the real reason why they want to hear from me.

"Outside is like every other day, the streets are empty with some people walking around every now and again. The dust is definitely still present in the air as you walk so make sure to wear a mask and eye protective wear before you go out." She say before pausing a bit.

"And make sure to watch out for the recent activity of thugs who tries to attack people walking. Stay safe New York." She then pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear before the channel changed to black and turned to commercial.

"Now i must wear a mask and shades. Great." I mumble to myself as i got up from the couch. I quickly changed into one of Bucky's shirts. It was black as i put on a gray long sleeved shirt under it.

I quickly got the backpack that i came with 2 weeks ago and put it on my back before putting on the 'bracelets'. I then put on one of my shades and a mask before exiting the room. "Friday, can you take off Protect Tony protocol when i get to the door and then immediately activate it once i leave." I say as i entered the elevator.

"Yes Sir." Was all she said when i got to the first floor. I then exited the elevator with a sigh. The metal plates then started rolling up so i could look out the window at Manhattan. The reporter was right when they say it was covered in red dust.

I simply sighed before adjusting the straps on my bag. I quickly opened the door so Friday could put the metal shutters back down. "I'll be back Friday." I said softly. "Come back home safe Boss." Was all she said before i waddled off. So much for trying to put me on bed rest and so much for trying to get my life back in order. I quickly exited the gates to stare down the New York streets.

Thankfully there is no one out yet. I don't think i need to see anyone taking photos of my overly large belly while waddling down the streets. I then got a soft kick notifying me that the babies are awake.

"Good morning to you too." I say rubbing the spot they kicked me. I slowly made my way down the street knowing that i have to making many stops before and after i get to the tower.
