"Come on let's go." saad ni Mommy

She ordered me to come out from the van but I just can't because it's so hot. I feel like it's burning my skin. Gosh! Why am I even here? I rolled my eyes when I remembered when they forced me to come with them.  I rather stay at home and watched my favorite movies.

"Honey, I promise you this place is really beautiful. You'd love this paradise." pagpupumilit ni Daddy saakin

I'm still inside the van and mom is a little frustrated because I don't want to go out. I crossed my arms and I went out with annoyance. I was about to complain because of letting me go here when I stopped, surprised of how beautiful the place is.

"See? I told you! It's really nice here. Look at the water it's so clear!" mom beamed with happiness

I just remained silent and still wandered my eyes to the place. Okay binabawe ko na yung sinabe ko. Looks like I did the right decision to join them here. I should thank my parents for forcing my stubborn ass.

Lumakad kame at kahit na napakainit, di nalang ako nagreklamo. The place looks so wonderful. I am already thinking to take a deep in the sea and of course, take many pictures so I could upload in my Instagram. And I would caption it with "this paradise doesn't need a filter." Which is really true, the place just looks so perfect that it doesn't need any filters.

Tumigil kame sa harap ng isang bungalow house. It's not that small nor big. Sakto lang siya and it has a good design also. Agad nanlake ang mga mata ko nang makitang lumabas si Nanay Deliah.

"Manang Deliah!! You're here!" saad ko at agad tumakbo papalit sakanya para gawaran siya ng yakap

"Vanessa! Hay nakong bata ka ang laki laki mo na" tuwang tuwa na saad ni Manang

Well Manang used to be my yaya ever since I was still a baby. Mommy and Daddy were busy because of our business so they had to entrust me with someone so that's why Manang Deliah became my Nanny. She's really my favorite because she's so kind and I can feel that she truly cares for me.

I cried so hard last year when she told me that she had to go back to her province. I didn't know this is her province! If only Mom and Dad told me we'll seeing Manang Deliah, I would have been so excited to go here and I would even buy pasalubong for her!

"This is where you are living right, Manang?" tanong ko at simpleng tumingin sa likod niya kung nasaan bukas ang pintoan ng bahay nila

I saw their living room but what caught my attention was a boy sitting in their sofa while reading something. Who is he?

Tumawa si Manang, "Yes anak dito ako nakatira. Hali na kayo pumasok na kayo sa munting bahay namin." aya ni Manang saamin

Agad kaming pumasok at doon mas nakita ko yung lalake na nakaupo sa sofa at seryosong nagbabasa. Looks like this boy is a nerd.

"Ay 'eto pala si Braden Jacob, nagiisang anak ko. Hali ka dito Braden."  saad ni Manang habang nakangiti

Agad akong natigilan. So he's manang's son? I never knew she has a son. Anyway her son looks good. He has a dark brown eyes and oh gosh, he also got a perfect, thick eyebrows. It's is being paired with a long curvy eyelashes. He has a fair skin color and he got a good height too. He's around 5'11 I think. He's so tall. I wonder if he's doing some workout because he got a nice body shape as well. I can tell even if he's only wearing a white t-shirt. He looks too good to be called a probinsyano boy. I wonder how many girls here would want to get his attention.

"Anak, 'eto naman yung amo ko sa Manila. Eto si Mam Vania tapos eto naman si Sir Nick saka ito naman yung nagiisang unica hija nila si Vanessa." pakilala saamin ni Manang

I didn't smiled and just waited for him to glance at my way. He smiled and I almost drop my jaw because he looks  freakingly more handsome when he's smiling. Nagmano siya sa Mommy at Daddy ko pagkatapos ay bumalik sa tabi ni Manang. He looked at me for just awhile and that's it, he never dared to look at me again.

What the? Am I not that attractive?

Last time I checked, boys in my school are dying to get my attention. They would even do everything just to get my number. And this guy right here? Didn't even bother to look at me? And wasn't even amazed of my beauty?!

"Hali na po kayo. Nagluto ako para sainyo." saad ni Manang at iginaya kame sa dining hall nila.

It's small but It's big enough for Manang and to her son. Wait a minute? Saan ba yung Dad niya? I haven't seen his dad around. Nevermind.

We went to the dining table right away and my stomach automatically growled when I smelled the food in front of us. Namiss ko na yung mga luto ni Manang. She's the best chef for me ever!

"Kamusta ka naman Vanessa? Wala ka pa bang boyfriend?" tanong ni Manang habang kumakain kame

I almost choked because of her question. Of course Im still 16 so I couldn't get myself a boyfriend yet. Though there are a lot of guys who's been confessing their so called love to me which I find it stupid, love? They don't even know me that much for them to fall inlove with me. Anyway I just let them do whatever they want. I'm still not yet in the right age to flirt with them, saka nalang pag 18 na ako.

"Ah no Manang, I'm still so young for that." nahihiyang utas ko

Mom and Dad agreed right away to what I said. Well I'm their unica hija so that explains why they are so overprotective to me. It's not like I'm complaining but sometimes nakakasakal na rin. It's as if they think I would harm myself para padalhan ako ng bodyguard sa school. There's one time kase we were playing with my friends and I accidently tripped off which caused my knees bleeding so badly. But I know that it's just a scratch I even didn't cried, mas nag hysterical pa sila saakin, well I'm mostly pertaining to my mom. She gets kinda over sometimes.

"That's right, she's not allowed to get herself a boyfriend not until she finished her studies." sangayon ni Mom

And I almost rolled my eyes. Finished my studies my ass! They always tell me that having a boyfriend is just a distraction. But for me it isn't because first, I wouldn't let myself engaged with some serious relationship and second, I'm talented and I'm good at multi-tasking. I know I can do both. I can flirt and still get a good grades. It's really not a distraction, it's just a matter of how you balance things.

"How about you Braden? May girlfriend ka na ba?" usisa ni Mommy

I shook my head because of Mommy's question. Sometimes she really gets so chismosa. But this time, I'm appreciating her for that because I'm curious too if he got himself a girlfriend. Well it's not I like him or I'm interested in him but I'm just kind of curious. I continued eating and acting like I was not waiting for his answer but my two ears are so open right now, wanted to hear his answers.

He shook his head and smiled, fuck that smile! "Wala po." sagot niya at nagpatuloy sa pagkain

I don't know what's with me but I found myself heave a sigh of relief, after hearing his answer. Get back to your senses V! Getting a crush with some probinsyano boys were definitely not in your list. Besides he's Manang's son so I should back off.

I tried to look up and glance at his direction when I saw him staring at me. I immediately felt myself blusing. Darn it!
