Chapter 15 ~ Things Were Supposed to Be Getting Better...

Laura's Pov

*4 months later*

I woke up at around 4 in the morning with a sharp pain in my stomach. I sat up and tried to see if it would go away in a different position. A few minutes later I got another pain.

I shook Haz and said, "Harry. Wake up." He sat up and said, "What's wrong baby?"

"I don't know. I got a really sharp pain in my ow!" "Where does it hurt?"

"My stomach." "Okay. Okay. We need to get you to the hospital. I'm gonna call Lou and see if he's okay with watching Darcy."

He called Lou and thankfully he answered and said he would watch her. Haz went out of the room and got Darcy. She was still sleeping when he got her.

"Cmon baby. We're gonna drop her off at Lou's and then we'll go to the hospital." I nodded and he helped me out to the car.

Once I was in, he put Darcy in her seat and drove to Lou's house. He was standing outside waiting for us. He took Darcy from Haz and said, "Just keep me posted on what's going on okay?"

I nodded and he went inside with Darcy. Haz got back in the car and drove to the hospital. He helped me out and took me in the ER.

"My wife has been having sharp pains in her stomach." The nurse looked at him and said, "Alright. Let's get her in a room."

Haz picked me up and carried me to the room the nurse brought us to. He laid me in the bed and helped me change into the gown.

"Haz. It really hurts." "I know baby. We're gonna figure out what's going on."

The nurse handed him a clipboard and said, "I need you to fill this out. And Mrs.Styles. I'm gonna get all of your stats and I'm gonna get you hooked up to a heart monitor and give you an IV with some morphine." I nodded.

After she did all of that Haz handed her the clipboard and she walked out of the room. He sat next to me and rubbed my stomach. "Haz. These pains feel like contractions. Like when I had Darcy."

"But you aren't pregnant baby." "But. I feel like there's something down there and I need to push." "Do you want me to check?"

I nodded. He looked under the blanket and said, "Wait. You might be right. Let me go get a nurse." Right as he was about to leave the doctor walked in.

Haz said, "I think she's in labor." The doctor gave him a look but checked and said, "Oh yeah. She's definitely in labor. How far along are you?"

I said, "I uh. I don't know. I didn't even know I was pregnant." "Okay. Well. I need to get a few nurses in here from the NICU unit just to be safe."

She ran out of the room and came back with like five nurses.

"Okay sweetie. I'm gonna need you to give me a push on your next contraction." I grabbed Haz's hand and as soon as I felt the contraction I started to push.

After two pushes the baby was out but it wasn't crying. I said, "Why isn't the baby crying?"

She looked at me and said, "We need to take him and get him checked out." Then she rushed out with the nurses.

I looked at Haz and said, "Oh my gosh. This is all my fault." He wrapped his arms around me and said, "No baby. This isn't your fault. You didn't even know you were pregnant."

"But how did I not know?" "You didn't gain any weight. You didn't have any of the symptoms. Plus. The test you took four months ago came out negative."
